My Wealthy Affiliate Journey So Far

Blogging is just talk radio modernized. And everyone wants to be a movie star.

Why Wealthy Affiliate?

It was really a no-brainer to join Wealty Affiliate, as the starter plan was very enticing and offered so much more than just taking the time to make an account.

I have always been interested in blogging, but stayed away because I knew very little about SEO and it seemed like it would take too long to sit around waiting for steady results.

Social Media or Blog?

This is where the disconnect between online marketers and affiliate marketers seperates.

When I got into online marketing, I did so with the intent to blog. However, after seeing some training and joining many programs, I got suckered into chasing shiny objects and I lost sight of why I started this in the first place.

Am I the only person who has made this mistake?

Video or The Written Word?

When you here someone teaching online marketing nowadays, all they preach is how to leverage social media platforms.

They have seemed to abandon the one true pot of gold that was around long before any of these platforms, SEO search.

It's true, video content does a whole lot better, and even when you search in Google, you still see lots of videos indexed on the first page.

Although many marketers are getting buckets of leads from their social media platform, many still end up making sales through their email.

Which is why I believe bloggers have an advantage...

What Makes WA So Appealing?

Speak with many of the top marketers with tons of video content, and one thing blatently stands out in a lot of them. They hate writing!

They more times than not (especially the big players) end up delegating out their email copy, and other parts of their content and offers that rely primarily on writing.

I see this as a huge opportunity for anyone who wants to learn and master writing short and long form copy.

Wealthy Affiliate is teaching you how to write consistently better. In just the 3 weeks I have been here, I have already created 5 blog posts,

And the Feedback I am getting in regards to my writing is exactly what we all need to have to help keep reaching for that next level.

The Long Term Goal

This amazing platform will be a big part of my business strategy going forward.

I see such a gap in the industry in regards to writers who can make good copy. Especially highly engaging long form copy.

This is an opportunity with huge potential, because of what I stated earlier in regards to most marketers today will delegate their writing to someone more qualified.

So not only is teaching myself to write content every day going to make me a better writer, and a more fluent writer. It will also teach me tricks and tips to engage better with my readers, which will make my email writing better, as I focus on engagement rate, and look for ways to improve it.

I Can't Wait to Read This in a Year

I am interested to see where I will be when I come back and read this post in a year.

In all honesty, I would prefer if this business had me so busy with producing results and making steady progress, that I would be happy to have forgotten about this altogether.

I see a lot of potential in finding a good niche to blog about, and I hope to capitalize on that potential through the training and support I get here at Wealthy Affiliate.
