Did You Know Google Drive Can Slow Your PC Down?
Well, I finally did it outsourcing the modernising of my site to a prolific website creator and revamper.
The work was meant to be done in 10 days. However, as I did not know how "modern" my site could look by changing themes, I did not give her adequate instructions...
She also told me only 2 of the 65 posts I have written, have a green light in Yoast SEO....Yoast indicated 63 of my posts had poor SEO features. For example, external links, internal links,
Alt text for images was rarely written....Alt description and meta titles all had to be put in.
So I thought I'd head over to SEO Classes by Magistudios (Jay) to discover how to make my site SEO friendly...
Good thing is - in Digging Deeper In SEO - Video Class Replay, Jay not only expains what SEO is, but he demonstrates 'Live' how to apply the SEO strategy.
Plus he adds a SEO Checklist Sheet to the mix!
So I took a photo of it...
Anyway - this post is about Google Drive slowing down your PC right?
So let me get to the point...I installed Google Drive to sync all my devices so that I could easily transfer photos from mobile to PC.
Then created another Gmail account because I had forgotten my old Gmail password (AGAIN!!)
Recovered the old Gmail account password successfully...
And thought I was good to go...However, when I went to edit my posts and apply the SEO Strategies to them, it was taking up to 30 seconds to load a page, everything slowed RIGHT DOWN!
Panic set in as I Googled how to uninstall Google Drive. How to Close Google Drive as suggested by 'TheCatherine' (now a good friend of mine) and pressed Restart.
After going back and forth from Live Chat to Google Account, to Youtube, to Site Support. I finally managed to 'kill' Google Drive and get my PC running smoothly again.
I wasted 4 hours.
As I speak - Google has unsynced my account and not allowed me to log back into them.
That's a story for another day...
EXIT STAGE LEFT
Conclusion - Beware what you download to your computer. You could save yourself a lot of worry and stress by going to Live Chat to ask questions. Answers normally come within seconds, not hours.
IF YOU ARE THINKING OF JOINING WEALTHY AFFILIATE - DO IT - YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Hi Stella
Iโve had Google Drive installed on my computers and mobile devices for years without speed issues. The key is to keep your local storage optimized. It's true that Google Drive may not work as well on older computers with more limited RAM and hard drive space/access speed.
Also, your Alt tags for images and Meta Descriptions for posts reside on WAโs servers, so Google Drive should have nothing to do with this. SEO plugins are basically "checklists," and SEO is not as important as it used to be, especially for ranking organically on Google.
Perhaps itโs time to clean up your WordPress media library. You can also try clearing your browser and WA server cache, which may be part of the speed issue you're seeing when you try to load your image library and posts into your browser.

Yeah google drive can slow your PC down a lot,as I have discovered myself.
One way round it is to use Dropbox. The free version is adequate enough to store what you need.
