One headache at a time
I don’t know about you guys but I really do love to write. I started writing poetry when I was in my teens and it has always been a way for me to unwind all of those bottled thoughts.
Ever since I joined WA, writing has become an even more important part of my life. The thing is, I only got disolved into poetry whenever I was feeling sad, lonely or just having mixed emotions that I couldn’t portray anywhere else. But now, I basically need to write good quality content all of the time. I’m not going to lie, it’s a bit overwhelming since I think I may run out of ideas.
I guess it’s different for all of us, but for me, it’s not the actual writing of a post/article that drains me...it’s the whole process of editing! You see, English is not my first language and it’s sometimes hard for me to find the right words or place the right punctuations (specially when it comes to commas). I was just wondering, do any of you guys know of a program or a tool that can help me regarding this situation?
I honestly would love to better my writing skills. And honestly, I’m trying my best, but somehow I still feel so insecure with my writing. Does anyone else feel this way? Being scared of your writing and deleting a whole article because you don’t think it’s good enough, if so, how do you manage to overcome this situation?

Yes it is easy to become overwhelmed. I’m feeling a bit that way myself right now and have decided to take the weekend off, but I don’t seem to be doing it right now. I’m addicted to reading everyone’s post and about your successes. I’ve always been good in writing papers and such. Of course, English is my native language, plus I had an excellent English teacher in high school who taught us how to write papers correctly preparing us for college. Mrs. King was her name and I loved her so much. She made a rather boring subject fun. Getting back to your concern, the only thing I can suggest is having someone proofread your work. Or do it the way I do. Write it down in ink and paper skipping a line between sentences. When done, put it away for an hour or two. Then go back to it with red ink and proofread, marking in red any corrections in grammar or punctuation. Do that and see if that helps. I don’t know programs so I can’t help you in that area.

I use Grammarly to check all my spelling etc.
Just keep writing what is on your heart, can I suggest you do not delete any articles you write as they can always be amended when you have more confidence.
I always remember a very famous author saying how she just writes, as it is easier to correct something that is written rather than try to correct something you have not written.
