Most of the animal you are referring to are not bred for love or to be companion animals any more than a corn plant or soybean plant is bred to be a house plant.
That said, I believe that all animals should be treated humanely and with compassion.
Just as a plant needs to be cared for in the best way possible, so do the farm workers that grow our food. Agriculture is a very complex industry that most people remotely begin to understand.
