To Partner Or Not To Partner

Years ago when I was working online I ended up with a partner who turned out to be a flake and wouldnt stay away from the scam sites. I swore off partners after that until I met my next partner.

It was weird. We were both on an online forum just chatting away. We had so many same interests that we started talking about partnering in our affiliate marketing world. Once we decided it was a good idea we actually realized we were both from the same city. Whats the chances of meeting someone from the same small city on a world wide forum.

Well she was great at finding great keywords and I was a wiz at writing articles. We were a pair made in heaven. We worked our business up to thousands a month and after a couple of years and for personal reasons we had to quit we sold our sites for thousands of dollars.

We worked perfectly as a team earning money online. We had total trust. We both had equal access to our paypal accout, bank account and to a credit card we both used.

A partner like this is very hard to find. Especially since we are still great friends. We just happen to have taken differant paths in our lives.

I guess I am wondering if any of you out there have partners or have considered the possibility. I am thinking about it again but not sure.

What does everyone here think??

Great partner are hard to come by especially a trustworthy one in this internet world.

That is such a true staement

I network online quite a lot, and have had a number of short-term partnerships. Together we would form virtual businesses. A web designer, an SEO specialist and a writer for example, selling our services as a package. One of us would be the money man and the position would rotate. I made the mistake of teaming up with a web developer who designed the best looking websites you've ever seen, but had no idea about simple navigation or the need to leave room for content. He was the last partner I worked with, although several advertising agencies and marketing companies employ me on an ad hoc basis.
