Has anyone tried CDN services to improve speed performance of your webpages? Is it a worthy investment for the website to help improve speed optimization?
Thank you so much for all your advice. It is truly been motivating to have alternatives to improve performance. I will look into these other products because I am currently just using site speed accelerated mode. the extreme mode gave me a white screen that did not load my page. best wishes, have a nice weekend!
Thank you so much. I will certainly look into it. I am trying to use autoptimize but the page design is changing on mobile view. some speed gains, but I think I have to change design by using less sliders. I am using the avada theme and it seems a little heavy for loading. what about cache enabler? i tried it but then it said to edit my php file. not sure if that is ok. i tried wp rocket but some of my widgets did not work and wealthy affiliate support recommend to just stick with site speed, but going in to manually clear the cache is a bit of work to do daily. Thanks again.
Hi
There's few things you can do, reach out to theme developers if purchased version otherwise their forum.
You may try use GeneratePress theme majority do here. GeneratePress is extremely light, fast, well coded, SEO optimized, flexible, adaptable and customisable.
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-edit-wp-config-php-file-in-wordpress/
if you make sure your images are optimized then sliders should be ok..not tested them yet...
i don't know the theme but anything oldish will not perform well in mobile...
as abie says there is generatepress...or i prefer astra or oceanwp ...
it is always un nreving modifying your themes php files...and interesting as hte next time you update hte theme for security of compatability you lose the updates....
with autoptimize it shouldn't change anything on your screen...what it does mainly form out of the box is to combine all the common files together (minification) and remove anything the computer does not need...
wprocket is good from what i hear and i don't agree with sitesupport that sitespeed is all you need....
using wprocket definitely turn off sitespeed totally...you shouldn't need to clear the cache daily....it should automatically update...
if you change things then the cache should automatically update this....
i would always make sure you have optimized your pages as much as you can before using tolls like cdn or caching services...
you can do a lot to help speed up your site...but there are limits...
so once you have made sure you are using a fast optimized theme, minimum number of plugins, small image file size then you can start looking at plugins to help...
i find that autoptimize will speed up your site
and if you want to use a seemless cdn then flying images or robin image optimizer are ones that i have used...
but manually get those images down to less than 50kb each...
it is a bit like get fit for your site...most don't like doing hte work but if you do and it then is a lot faster without addons it feels worth it.....
good luck
phil
i take it your pagespeed levels are low for mobile

Can you suggest some sites for stock photo images? Thank you
There are plenty of stock images you can use through the site content but here is a list of others. No Licensing to Worry About
Hi, if you're using the SiteContent platform then you'll find a whole library of free stock images available inside post editor.
Otherwise, http://Pexels.com is a great site to find and download royalty free images.
Hope this helps! :)

You are already on the Black Friday deal, so there is nothing that you have to do on your end. You will automatically recur at this price point. ;)
Thank you Kyle, that answers my question as well. 😊
