How I'm Doing So Far
So far, I am at the last assignments for level 2 and this is for one of those.
I didn't come in here totally blind. I did pay out a chunk of change to the folks at AWOL for some training and was well along the way constructing my funnel. But something happened which forced me to stop and shut everthing down (anyone want to say heart attack and my bank accounts going into the negative together? It was my first and only one so far.). So I had to take it easy for about a year to recover before trying to head back to where I wanted to go.
I did some research into affiliate marketing of omething other than "getting rich" and stumbled onto Wealthy Affiliates where I could start for nothing and go premium when chose, or had the money.
Now I've worked my way through the training to the end of level 2, and make no mistake, that is part of the job I've given myself as my own eomployer. I am quite proud. Now I understand much better how to deal with a Word Press website than I did before, and this isn't the first time I've used Word Press.
I've already gotten compliments on the design and some of my posts. Another point of pride. What I haven't done yet is to make any sales, but all in good time.
In three months I want to be off of SSI and making enough to support myself without it. That would require an income of around $1,000 to $2,000, preferrably the higher figure which is what I will be shooting for
In six months let's see about tripling that figure.
Plans? Other than working the plan I haven't decided as of yet on the specific goals some of the money will finance. There is one goal to work towards for simple pleasure of it. I would love to take a week and go take a guitar building course with a luthier I respect quite highly. Why not? It is something to reach out for. I'm thinking of going for that. Even if it's too cold and he won't have a class, I can still afford to buy a spot in his next one as a present for moi and soldier on.
As I start reachinb my money goals I'll start reaching out here more. I do love helping people in spite of being an introvert.
My best to all!

I saw the guitars and said to myself," what are those lovely pieces of wood doing all alone. Lol. Got my attention anyway! I love guitars, drums, pianos, etc, etc.
I saw a Les Paul guitar Kit on one of the YouTube channels I follow, I believe the guy said it was for around $200. It has a bolt on neck thought but man did that thing sound and look great when it was all painted and put together.
May not be what your interested in but I am going to set aside funds for her soon.. I have always thought of building guitars, I enjoy building things with wood very much. It is peaceful and fulfilling to me.
Your mindset seems great, and I wish you the best in health and life. I have been rethinking how I live, almost 58 now and I still outwork most 20-year-olds. That is how my head almost got crushed by falling truss striking a fourth of July show last summer. No more drinking, trying to stay out of the sun, not much skin left to burn off my face anymore, watching my crew more than I used to to make sure everyone is working safely.
Thank you. I chose acoustic guitars because I have more experience with them than electric guitars, which would probably make a nice little niche as well. They are probably easier to make which might explain why so many folks are making them as well. Pick the right wood and they an be very beautiful pies of work in their own right.
I'm a real fan of natural finishes instead of painted because wood grains are such beautiful things to see. Just think of how awesome an electric guitar made from tiger stripe maple looks whether left completely natural or stained somewhat as opposed to painting it over.
Keep your men and yourself safe and good luck on finding your niche and building some successful sites. You are on the verge of retirement and wouldn't it be good to make more at that than what you made your living doing?
I also love the natural beauty of the wood grain. Acoustics guitars are fun to play, no need to bring extra gear, just the guitar. Most everything I learn to play is on the Acoustic, then I can change the style of it on electric if it finds itself wanting to be that.
I will never retire, life is to fun for that. I just want to get to a place where I work because I want to and not because I have too.
Show us some of your guitars one day when you get to build some. I much enjoy working with wood. Made a bar out of old pallets a couple of weeks ago for my friends wife's baby party.
Have fun here. Cali
Will do when my income makes it to the point I can gift myself with the experience. Ill probably share pictures here because my first website on my own domain to work made it possible.
