I'm almost through with the 10 Build Your Own Traffic Producing Website videos. I just need to help one person through the "unanswered" tab, (which I think I may have already done) and post this blog here. Then I'm on to the Making Money trainings. I Can't Wait!

Completed so far

1. Website built and live

2. About me page

3. Privacy Policy

4. 2 posts with pics and links

5. Created a new user

6. a bunch of other stuff ;)

What I Did Wrong (Don't make these mistakes)

Once I published my website, I then went back into the site content editor to add pictures like the training showed me. The issue was, once you publish from the content editor, you can't update the same article and get it to update in WordPress. All editing once an article is published, needs to be done in WordPress. The issue with that is, the pictures that are available in the content editor are not in the Add Media area of WordPress.

So how do you get the pictures you want to use that are in the content editor over to WordPress? This is info I received from some very nice people on the live chat. First you can save the pics to your computer and then search for them from the Add Media button. Or what I ended up doing was copying the whole article with the pictures and pasting it into another new post box in the editor, published that and deleted the old one.

The problem with that was that I added the pics to the wrong article (the unedited version) and then deleted the edited one by accident! NOOOOO! The reason that happened was because the spell check that is in the content editor doesn't work right (It's actually worse than me), so I edited the article in WordPress using Grammarly this time (works great by the way) not realizing that when I clicked update, it didn't update in the other content editor inside WA.

I know some of you are probably rolling your eyes, but things were goig so smooth until this huge setback. In case you haven't noticed, I hate setbacks! LOL! I also know, it doesn't sound like it, but, I don't like to complain, I just don't want to happen to someone else. Maybe I'll make a training video on this or we can update the system so it works with Grammarly inside the content editor and or we can make it so the published articles can be updated from the content editor as well as WordPress.

I like to move fast, so when I have to redo stuff, It makes me sad! I hope y'all are having a great day, please excuse my rant, I just needed to vent a little. Now that I got that off my chest, It's time to write some more content and get into the new Making Money training.

Thank you for reading,

Nick

Good points in your blog. I agree with what you are saying. It’s annoying that the two platforms don’t communicate with each other when we edit. Well done on your progress.

Nice.

Good job Nick!

Congratulations on your progress so far Nick. All the best. Jim
