Hey everyone. Looking for a mentor to assist me with my webpage design. Still new to WordPress and trying to work my way through it but would be nice
Hi - I can't promise to be your "mentor" but if you want to send me a private message with the details of your website, and what you think it needs, I can take a look and point you in the direction of the right training.
Hi Alan,
What is it that you want to change on your website?
You can change items on your website. What you can do is above this website in the menus line, there is a magnifying glass icon.
You can click on the magnifying Glass icon and type the words of what you would like help with and about 100 posts will come up that will you guide you to what you want to do.
Regards
Brian

How can I determine where my website ranks. I have made some content and published a few articles but can seem to find my webpage articles when I google them.
Your website doesn't rank per se. Individual pages and posts rank for particular keywords/search terms. For any competitive keywords, it can take a long time. The most reliable way to determine ranking is simply to do a Google search for the keyword and see if your article appears in the results.
You may check out Site Rank in Jaaxy.
You may input your keyword and domain name.
First, your posts get indexed, and often days later, down the line, start getting noticed, provided targeted keywords are searchable, and new websites can rank efficiently.
But typically, "authority" for a website starts to get established over time, usually at the 3-6 month mark.
They fluctuate up and down the scale till Google decides where to place them.
Not all posts will get ranked; thus, the recommendation is to keep updating blogs 2 - 3 posts a week, which is for the foreseeable future.

I checked my rankings even for 1 article I wrote two months ago and there was no ranking. How much do need to write so it can be ranked or how can I improve my rankings?
I'd say you need to give a bit more time and continue adding compelling content and sharing onward social media platforms.
