A Little Appreciation Goes Farther Than You Know!

It amazes me how someone can reach out and touch the lives of others without even realizing it. Shannon did that today. She was giving Kudos to those who have assisted her in enhancing her writing skills. Great teamwork produced a most impressive blog.

Shannon's blog inspired me which caused me to reflect on situations I have observed. If we are supportive of our mentors, they will have more energy and enthusiasm to continue supporting others as opposed to feeling drained by the end of the day.

Mentors, pastors, instructors, etc. need recognition and kudos too because they give so much of themselves while their proteges utilize their expertise. Everyone recognizes that they enjoy what they do or they wouldn't be doing it. Their gifts should never be taken for granted and there needs to be a continuous cycle of gratitude and energy. Mentors spark and energize their proteges. In a perfect world, the protege reaches out to their mentor(s) giving them a jump start to re-energize them. There is an old saying that everybody knows . . . it gets lonely at the top.

Writing has always been tough for me as well. Did not receive the grades in it that I would have liked and will enjoy enhancing my skills. Any input is welcome. Kind of like Toastmasters . . . loving criticism, LOL.

With that being said, thank you everyone for the warm and encouraging welcome today. I have never seen so many upbeat and supportive people in one group.
