Some of mu plugins are too big to be fully scanned by the PHP compatibility checker. What is my next move?
What do I do when plugin is too big?

ask sitesupport to do it
or just visit the plugin repository to see what their requirements are and then check under tools
if you are concerned about plugin compatability you can always ask sitesupport to move your site to the newer servers - even then your php will not be the latest one but will be later.
i would concentrate on creating content unless your site goes down
good luck

I am considering joining an affiliate program offering 60% front and back.. I don't know what "front and back" means.
Talk to the affiliate program manager to get clarification. This doesn't sound like an affiliate program though. They will typically just provide a commission.
It may be that they are offering a 60% commission on their initial product and 40% commission on their upsell. This would make me walk away from that program.
I did walk away because the product did not have supporting evidence for their claims. I am very careful to verify claims made by products because I am dealing with health issues and it is very important to avoid "snake oil".
That being said - Why would you walk away?
Having seen some of the snake oil salesmen that are operating online, unless a product is fully above board and can stand on its own two feet without an upsell or any other reason for me to feel that the owner of the program is not 100% above board, then I won't do business with them.
I subscribe to honesty. If I live it, so must my product vendors.

The original image from the affiliate marketing banner selection has a flashing button. How do I make it flash on my page?
Flashing buttons are usually animated imaged (GIF) that animate all the time and can be clicked on.
but it can be done with CSS too up to some point.
Steven
I saved the original banner from the affiliate banner page as a gif but it won't flash on my site.
I only know how to do it using code CSS, I'm sure there are plugins that can do it. Do a seach for plugins that can animate
I'm going to check out Magistudios Managing Your Website Design Through CSS Hopefully it will be explained there. Thanks
I doubt he talks about flashing buttons - but I'm sure he will give you a good basic understanding about CSS
