Enjoying the Journey While Looking Forward

Hi Everyone!

So I have been really trying to motivate myself lately. I am feeling a little tense with the holidays and job change, so sometimes it feels like I just can't wait until I reach my goal. For instance, I just can't wait until the year is over so I can have a short break or I just can't wait until I can quit working for someone else and earn my living through my online business.

I thought that this line of thinking would keep me motivated, but sometimes it made me feel worse. Why? Because I didn't appreciate or enjoy the journey I was on. I have been wishing the holidays to be over instead of just enjoying the excitement of these times. I was looking forward to a new job instead of also enjoying the last time with my wonderful colleagues.

I've been so focused on the day to day goals I have set for myself, I lost the excitement I felt about setting on this path. I don't want to lose that excitement. I shouldn't be frustrated when I feel like I am going slow. Actual progress is progress and I should learn to appreciate my path.

Have a great day!

Samantha

I often have the same feelings. It is through the WA community that I get uplifted again and get excited for the future.

It is easy to feel this way during this time of year. You might control your conscious mind by your subconscious always comes in and reminds you if you are missing out on something.

Enjoy your holidays!

Anita

In addition to all else you are working on, you are on a journey of self-discovery too! You're amazing!

Holidays are a great time to accomplish this Samantha. Have a great Christmas and 2018!

That's a HUGE lesson, Samantha!

We can focus so much on the next "big thing", we can overlook what's right in front of us.

There's a saying: Right now is a gift, that's why it's called the present.
