Write it down
We all have goals that we want to achieve. Most of us in this community have financial targets we want to meet in our online activities and also in other areas of life. There is one critical element that is vitally important in achieving any goals - writing them down in detailed manner. I find myself guilty of ignoring this habit way too often, which is probably why I wanted to write about in a first place.
Without writing down my goals they remain somewhat abstract "visions" without enough clarity that our minds need in order to drive for the required actions. I have found that seeing my goals in a physical form - written down on a piece of paper or on a computer screen - is a big step forward in showing that I am really serious about something. It also takes courage to get this done as it requires some self studying which our busy minds do not normally feel too comfortable with.
I have also noticed that there is a difference in writing down something by hand - in an old fashion way of using inc and paper - and typing the same on computer. At least to me, handwriting is still a way to really slow down and getting the needed emotions involved. This is the required boost needed to activate the mind in the goal hunting. Sometimes I do both, as working with computer will keep the goals in more organised and readable / editable form for later processing.
There are several good self-help books written on this topic, and one that I found very helpful is Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy. Highly recommendable.
What is your take on this and your practice in goal writing and stimulating?
Cheers,
Janne

I agree with you about writing on paper Janne, it makes it less abstract for me.
