On Bounce Rate percentages. what is good or bad?

My website has been up since November of last year. I am apart of four social networks; Pinterest, Google Plus, Facebook Fan page and a twitter account and I am toggling between all four of them trying to promote my page as best as I can. In the meantime, I got so caught up with the social media aspect of my business that I stopped going about my lessons and now I am still stuck on Course 4, Lesson 2 - I just want to finish this god damn course already so I can say I DID It! you know what I mean?

I want to know , in google analytics terms if a 52% bounce rate is good / bad / average or what... do you want your percentage to be HIGHER in this regard or LOWER in this aspect, can someone tellme? And is 112 visitors per week good for what I got going or could it be better? Anyone more professional than me in this regard give me an opinion?

Your average sessions are way low in length, it means users are not connecting with your intent on your Titles Bounce, and text of your first paragraph or two is not cohesive enough to keep them reading the entire post. Your numbers are about average but a little more work will get you in the 30-40 bounce rates and 2+ minute average session with spikes over 3.

Great Question!

A bounce rate of 40% and below is considered a good bounce rate. Obviously then, the lower the percentage the better for your overall ranking.
Currently, your rate is average.
Bounce rate is the ratio of those who land on your site (post etc.) and stick around for a while (explore other links) against those who land and leave immediately.

Reasons for a high bounce rate are, unmet expectations, poor layout, navigation & content; uncompelling titles, slow speeds, wrong traffic getting to your site through unrelated keywords etc.

In my opinion, traffic from sites like FB is usually programmed, short-winded (microwave) users. Therefore, after coming to your site and not being impressed in a hurry, they will quickly leave. This results in a high bounce rate.

Organic traffic through proper keyword research and SEO strategies will lead to better bounce rates.

Proper CTAs (Call To Action) will cause people to do something after reading your posts and keep them on your site longer.
Video/podcasts etc.
