. And it finally happened! I had my first sales comission!
What a great S. Valentine's gift I had :D
Again, just like many other stories in here, I just went to pick up a link on Etsy (glycerin soaps :) ) and what do you know?? I had a sales commission waiting for me to discover!!
It's a ridiculous amount only from one sale (only 0,76€ and it's not even confirmed) but, oh my, isn't it encouraging!! :D
So I've joined WA at 06-06-2020, where I had a portuguese only website with around 15 posts. I had to translate all of them to english (I really can't make any money out of portuguese market only, unfortunately). 8 months and 8 days later, I've discovered I've made my first sale :D
Also, my traffic turned from 250/month in last October to 250/week!!! Organic traffic is rising and I have some solid 25 visits /day of organic traffic only.
It is a very long and hard marathon, where you have to work a lot without any return, but I suppose it's pretty much like gardening or growing vegetables, where you won't collect any benefits out of it before months or even years of work.
And well, this is only the beginning, a lot of work lies ahead as well. But thanks to WA and this wonderful community, I was able to believe before seeing it.
For now, I'm just going to make a happy dancing and tomorrow I'll continue with writing.
I'll finish this post with a simple but really meaningful fact from life reality: truly good things, the ones that really count, only come with hard work, most of the times with no immediate benefit for a long time. Just remember that when you feel down and about to give up.

Thank you for that piece of encouragement in your last paragraph and your analogy of affiliate marketing to gardening. They are so similar except that there's more certainty in gardenting than in online marketing!

Yes, perseverance is key, and I'd like to make it clear here that there's no "expiration date" - even if your website doesn't sell after 3 or 6 months, doesn't mean is a failure: just try different ways to sell something. You have a lot of training here available, in the middle of so many tools ONE's gotta work!!
As long as you see traffic, oney is just a matter of trying different solutions untill it works!! Also check out competition websites to see what they are doing right :) you can either make the same or figure alternative ways to sell.
