My First Month!

As the cover photo suggests, I'm overall very pleased with my first month here at W.A. Everyone is so kind and generous and if you ever have a question there is always someone there to help you out.

The community here is wonderful, you guys constantly bring me back all the time just to talk and get to know everyone. I love interacting with you all and making new friends. Everyone here is one big family and I love it.

Now Let's talk about my progress here at Wealthy Affiliate.

How I found Wealthy Affiliate

I think I started out like how everyone else did, I was online looking for ways to make legit money online and stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate. (But Let's dive into how I found it.)

It wasn't that easy, I was looking page after page on google on how to make money online, I even watched YouTube videos but everything came across sketchy. I was not happy with the outcome because there was so much spam and vagueness that I started to actually doubt there was anything out there that would give me the success I wanted.

Everything came across as a get-rich-quick scheme and I wasn't buying any of it.

I then found something a bit promising but needed to read up on it before I got into it. I was looking up reviews for this website and this man's review really brought out the bad. The review then led me to another review about Wealthy Affiliate and how to actually make money online if you put in the effort.

I started reading what the guy was telling me and it sounded very promising. There was no mentioning of getting a thousand dollars in the next week or a million by the end of the year. What he was saying was what I wanted to hear, "If you want to make money, you have to put in the work."

(Nothing comes easily and if it does, you're probably doing it wrong or it is risky.)

He then brought up Wealthy Affiliate and basically said join through my link and follow the instructions on the site. So I did what I was told and was greeted to an outstanding pool of people.

Getting Started!

After creating my account under the mans link I started to look around and get a feel for the site. I will say it was daunting at first trying to understand everything. It reminded me of when I first made a Facebook, there were so many tabs to click, buttons to push, and people to talk too.

I think I started out following the level one training before I did anything else. While accomplishing that I started getting involved in the community and asking questions in the Live Chat. (Boy is that chat super helpful!) I had some questions and there was always a person to help me through any troubles I had.

I started to spend more time in the live chat while also commenting on peoples money goals and posting to people's profiles that followed me. I just loved the atmosphere everyone brought to me, there was not a mean spirited person in site, only people who wanted to help.

After finishing the first lesson and loving the community here I decided to upgrade to premium. I could not do much more anyway do to the fact the free account only gives you access to the first lesson and only a week of the live chat.

So, I jumped on it and bought the premium membership.

Going Premium was Worth it!

After upgrading my account I now have access to so much more on the site that I was limited to before. I can now access more lessons and continue to talk to people on the chat and get the help I need.

The fact I was now able to private message as well was a game changer. Sometimes asking a question or talking to someone is better off left being private and not for the whole world to see.

After getting access to more lessons, I have not made much improvement to the second lesson. I have only completed about a third of the way through it. I have been trying to do some other things with my personal life so I was not able to accomplish much within the first month of premium.

This halt on my website was not due to anything here at Wealthy Affiliate, It was all personal. Like I have mentioned before I'm proud of where I am here and love the amenities to having a premium membership.

Going premium has opened up a lot of doors here for me at W.A. and cannot wait to gain more progress. It is one of the best things you can do here. You now have access to everything you need to build a successful website with all the extra needed help you could ever need.

Where I am Now

Right now I am about a third of the way through the second lesson and planning on finishing it by Sunday. Other than being sometimes busy I get really unmotivated and accomplish nothing. I need to work on this a bit because the possibility for success here.

I plan on being here daily all through the summer, even if its just for 10 minutes. I love interacting with the community here because you guys keep such a positive outlook.

My website is coming along well, still in the beginning stages of its life but pretty soon I plan on having it thriving. So far I only have my "About Me" and my first post. Together combined are just shy of 3,000 words.

Now I just gotta keep to my word and keep interacting with you guys while building my website. I'm not as happy with where I am as I should be but pretty soon I should be where I want to be for the time frame I have been on here.
