Running on Empty Fumes - Keeping Motivated

Hey There!

So it has been a bit since my last post, longer than I wanted it to be in between posts. I try my best to set aside some extra time each day to work on my website and blogging, what extra time? What is extra time? If you find some extra time, will you please send it my way?

So my days usually start with waking up and getting my 7mo old ready for breakfast and the day. Then Mommy goes to work for 10-14 hours. I am General Manager of a restaurant so it is definitely not a sit down and relax kind of job. Once work is done then I drive 1 hour = 1 1\2 hours in traffic to get home. Once I am home them it is time to get the baby ready for dinner, bath, and then bed (not to mention some play time in there singing our ABCs and 123s).

Once the baby falls asleep that would be the ideal time to get online... but no now it is time to clan up the kitchen and get clothes ready for tomorrow.... oh my goodness before I know it, it is 10:45pm and the exhaustion has officially set in. This is the hardest part... staying motivated at 10:45 after a 12 hours day at work and playing mommy. No as some maybe saying "Well thats part of life when you have kids and have a full time job"... and that is so true, but that is why we are all here... so that we can stop complaining about how we want to change our lives and the future of our families through wealthy affiliate and the courses. Keeeping that in mind is what keeps me motivated.

This is not a sprint it is a marathon and I believe that once I get the hang of everything and know exactly what I need to do to get my business up and running, I will be able to run with it and hopefully by then I will be a seasoned veteran and will be able to help other out. That too is one of my passions - helping out others and making people smile.

Moral of the story is never give up, just keep pushing yourself forward.... and speaking of forward, always always always pay it forward. Paying it forward through question answering, advice given, or creating a training.

I really look forward to my continued learning of WA! No matter the exhaustion level or lack of time - I will keep moving forward and helping out my fellow WA Community.

Here wish you the best of luck and much success in 201 and many more years to come~ Keep motivated, ambitious, and help others with the WA community when thwy ask questions!

Cheers,

SMS

Shannon,
You certainly have your hands full at this time in your life. You have to work and you have to take care of your baby.

One day you will look back and see that you have been successful with both.

Not only will you and your little one grow from this experience but also your online business with WA.
Thanks for your excellent example .
Bobby

That's business. When you start a business whether offline or online you need to sustain it, if not you might lose your capital and eventually stop.

Very true! I have my job, my baby girl, and my online business- 3 jobs :)

But in the end I know I will look back and say it was all worth it :)

Kinda sounds like working third shift forever.

WOW!!! I got tired just reading that, Shannon!!! I really commend you and respect all that you're doing to better yours and your baby girl's life.

I'm not a parent nor do I have a grueling full-time job, so I can't offer any feedback. I do know, however, there are many on this platform that have done what you're doing and have succeeded. I'm sure by now that you've already met some of them, so you can definitely get some encouragement from those whom have walked down a similar path.

All the best in pushing through to reach your dreams, Shannon.

Cheers,
Shannon
