Namaste

The first time I was introduced to the greeting Namaste was many years ago when I was an Orderly working in a hospital. I was transporting a patient to surgery. She was a small older lady that spoke a different language; I did not understand. Therefore. I responded with a hello and thank you. I was fortunate that her son was present and explained what she was saying to me. He said that she was honoring the god in me. I felt honored, so, I did some research on the greeting and found many cultures around the world have a slightly different meaning.

I most enjoy that Namaste can be used for Hello and Goodbye.
