Issue with my site layout, unable to sole thus far

Having trouble modifying CSS on my site. Space has appeared between my menu and content featured image on my posts in the 2014 Wordpress theme. Additionally, I'm trying to chance the margins of my text so it stays on the far left, near the content sidebar. I have a little bit of coding knowledge, but it's really not my forte.

The front page does not have the white-space issue, but all my posts do.
