Niche difficulty

Hey everyone,

So I'm having some difficulty with this whole niche thing. Thought I had it down... but I don't :P
First I was thinking since I'm in Japan and love Japanese stuff to get into cute Japanese inspired clothing but the keyword search was craphouse and is was too difficult.
Next, because of trying lots of different keyword searches above I found baby boy clothing could be my niche since I'll be expecting a nephew later this year. But I think it's too broad and I'm not that into it anymore.

Here's some information about me:
I'm a teacher - so I know about that
I like to sing - but it's been a long time and I'm not so great at it anymore
I am living in Japan - so feel like I could take photos every day or so and blog about something... but what?!
I'm into photography - but get too carried away with work at school so never end up spending time on it... maybe it's time to and blog about it?
I am interested in developing myself to be a better person - so maybe a website on positive thinking, could do stuff with developing confidence, getting outside, tips on happiness, positive affirmations, etc.

I really don't know which direction to choose. Ideally something along these lines as I enjoy those things, but I also would really be able to make decent money out of it. I know of course it won't happen straight away, but my plan is to develop a good website that can at least generate a bit of income with some great products to promote, then do the affiliate bootcamp and develop a website there and more websites after that if I want to :)

Advice on a niche please from all you more experienced awesome people!!

Any of those interests you list could be a springboard for a great niche!

You could recommend places to go to in Japan, would work for local people and tourists, plus you'd have photography backing you up.

Why not just jump into promoting Wealthy Affiliate for the time being? Did you know that the guys who got rich during the California gold rush were not the miners, but the guys who sold shovels? It's absolutely true. Same with the Levi's brand of jeans. They sold the pants to the miners. I think even you can recognize that Levi Strauss is wealthy and the miners are not. Likewise, bring this site to the attention of the masses, people who do not know how to get started. Sell them the pick and make some money.
