New connections

So I'm working away, getting my affiliate site ready (with my own domain coming up today if all goes well)...

In the meantime I'm making some new connections - we've got an amazing variety of people here at WA, and I'm finding commonalities around the world! Like people who work in IT, people doing web design, artists, a figure skater, photographers - go figure! It's nice to have so much in common with random people.

I'm also finding there are a lot of ex military people here (nothing in common - oh wait - my brother served so there ya go) ... I can understand how people in IT gravitate to WA, but the military is an interesting trend.

I look forward to learning from these people, those with similar backgrounds and the people who I have (seemingly) little in common with - like the man who spent much of his career working in oil fields. Other than driving a car - nothing in common! I do know that must have been damn hard work - and I know what that is ... that's our "link".

So - there.. a little message on world peace :) I like to find out about people - learn what we have in common and celebrate the differences. That's one of the best bits about WA - the community. And if we can help each other out along the way that's just fantastic.
