Homeschooling
Is anyone out there homeschooling their children or have home schooled their children? I'd like to know where you research started because I've always wanted to home school my children, but didn't think I could do that to my wife and I didn't have the time to do it while working full time. Up until recently, my wife was a stay at home mom and just trying to get the kids to do their chores was like pulling teeth, so I couldn't expect her to try and teach them at home and expect them to get "home"work done.
I will do my research online regarding homeschooling, but the more info I can get from those who actually know about it or have done/are doing it, will accelerate my research.

I homeschooled my children, and I even have a blog about homeschooling! I created my own curriculum as well, and I know an awesome free homeschool curriculum site you can use tht would help, but we can's share links here as that would be spamming! I'm sure it is. If I were a stay at home dad, I would have taken it upon myself to at least attempt it. I have a good friend who used to work with me and his wife homeschooled their kids. The kids were all very bright and it's been my experience so far that homeschool helps the children get far more advanced than traditional schooling. What are your thoughts or experiences?
Thats exactly what I wanted for my son. To get him ahead. He is 7 y/o and starting fourth grade this year! And he's all for it. But every child is different, so it's just a matter of figuring out what works best for your children. All learning should stem from a child's expressed interests and motivation.
Im still new to homeschooling as I've only taught for one year, going on two. But there are a lot of benefits of homeschooling. I especially like that you can determine the curriculum and schedule. Definitely, do the research first, but if you have the time, you should give it a try!
