Site Attracting Leads?-Most Five Common Reason Why It May Not Be.

The first thing you need to ask yourself is what are your full Internet marketing plans? Your marketing plan goal should be to attract more people to your website to create new leads which in turn could create new customers for your business.

Some things to take into consideration:

    ·Invest in social media

    ·Be more proactive with self-promotion

    ·Start blogging

    ·Create a website

However, if you don’t take the above into consideration you will be turning people off instead of on to your business.

I have listed the most common mistakes that are made which fail to attract customers to business websites and how to stay away from the mistakes.

1. There’s no flow in place.

Many sites don’t include a clear conversion path for their customers. In order for customers to take certain reaction, you need to create a channel intended to guide them to react. Putting together curtain number of content pages won’t automatically start the path to buy. You are in charge of designing the flow of your website. Creating a clear conversion path makes customers feel more comfortable when they are on your site. In order to attract new customers and repeat customers you need to provide more data for your customers to act on.

2. No heartbeat.

When customers visit your website they’re going to investigate a little to see if they can trust you. The following are just some of the things they are looking at:

    1.Check to see how old the copyright date is.

    2.Look for old statistics or notice that you haven’t taken the time to update your content.

    3.Review your blog to see how often it’s updated, look to see if you reply to commenters, and see if people are responding back.

    4.They’re going to see if you’ve created a dynamic website, or a lifeless site.

What I do is snoop around my site and then asks myself if this would be a place I would hang out in.

3. Is the site about you or about your business?

Customers go to your site because they have a problem that they want you to fix or a question that needs to be answered. They don’t go to your site to hear how awesome you are. You should design your website so that you can quickly assist them with whatever reason they came for.

If you don’t address your visitors/customers’ needs they will turn away from you or worse yet, make a bad review for you and spread it out all over the net. Avoid sales talk and listen to your customers’ needs/desires. Customers only care about how you can assist them- they don’t care about you.

4. Where’ are you at?

If customers are not interacting with your website, you need to ask yourself a few questions.

    1.Is my site mobile? People are searching more and more on the go and with their mobile devices.

    2.Is my SEO set up properly? Ensure you are using the right keywords and linking properly. Also make sure you site is not just loaded down with keywords.

In order for you to get more traffic, you need to break through the things that are preventing you from getting the traffic you need to achieve your financial goals.

5. Where’s Waldo?

In order to stand out from the crowd, you have to offer more of yourself. Give them something that will want them to align with you. Make sure you look at you site and see what you are offering your customers. What experience are you creating? Does your site look like everyone else’s or did you set yourself apart? Make sure you are talking to your customers in their own language don’t fill up you pages with too much jargon.

The more you make yourself different from everyone else; will lead to attracting the right customers.
