Don't forget, you cannot change .url Name
Just to remind all of you who are first starting your website, the initial .url name cannot be changed. If you're unhappy with it after hours of work, the only way to change is to start all over again!
I got caught like this. Initially, after an hour's work on my site I decided on a new name and then found that the only way to have it was to delete site and restart. Then on the 2nd attempt, after going through most of Kyle's Course, I discovered using Jaaxy a better keyword combination name and again... back to basics! Now finally 3rd time lucky? (Still not 100% sure but sticking with it for now!:)
I therefore ended up re-building my site 3 times on the same day. Good for practice I guess but it can play havoc with one's time schedule!

the more frustrating part is, you go to site rank and the one you deleted is on page 1 and you have to put the content back again lol
Thanks for comments. I've been in PC's since the Spectrum days. (Remember those? 48k, TV for monitor, Audio cassette for HD), but still find them, and now all this Online stuff, an ever faster, moving target to keep up with!
LOL. Think of it this way.......it's a lesson that you'll never have to repeat because you'll never forget all the frustration.
Don't forget skc that at webmaster tools you can request google to delete the url. They will but the whole website indexing is lost also and yes you have to start over by re-submitting the new url under google XML sitemap plug in. But you do not have to re-create the website.I believe this works to correct the url problem but do not quote me on this. I tried it per instructions from WA affiliate and it seemed to work.
