My progress and my risky plan
My progress with WA
So, I am now for 1 month at WA (started my website 18.12.2016) and I have to say that the course is very helpful.
I doubt that I would be as far as I am right now without WA. So thanks a lot to Kyle, Carson and the community.
I am now at the end of course 2 and created a lot of new skills.
- My writing improved. To be honest I was scared my whole life of texting. But actually it is just communicating. Authenticity is the key here
- I know how to make a detailed keyword research and how to integrate them into my articles
- I know how to build a good and readable article.
Besides that I also learned some selfmastering skills. What do I mean with that?
Time management
Next to the WA course I work fulltime in an office. That means that 10 hours of my day are already taken. So there is not a lot of time for WA.
At the beginning of the course I tried to work on my website in the evening. Thus after work. It was hard for me to find motivation and energy to focus on the course, because after 10 hours sitting in the office it's not very inviting to sit again for 2 or 3 hours.
So I had to change my priorities.
Because WA is more important than my fulltime job, I put the WA course at the beginning of my daily routine. I started working on my website every morning before going to work. And it really improved the productivity. I felt fresh, motivated and I really wanted to work on it.
Okay I had to wake up 2 hours earlier than usual, but it was definitely worth it.
Distractions
Additionally I started to manage my attention. I remember at the beginning I got distracted easily while working on my website. This could be an e-mail, whatsapp message, music, videos, instagram and other "very important stuff" that I have in my life. I realized that I became productive only when I got into the flow. That state when you forget everything around you. And if you have distractions it's very hard to stay in that state. So before work, I started to turn off and put away everything that could attract my attention.
Interest
My niche I am working on is about men's lifestyle. I blog about fitness, style and grooming. I like that niche, because I live in that niche, haha. I really enjoy researching and writing about it.
At the beginning I tried to find only profitable niches. But after reading some experiences of other WA members, I realized that you can make money with every niche, the key is to have interest for it. Otherwise you can't write qualitative content.
No qualitative content = no traffic = no revenue
Enjoyment
Another thing that I learned is: do not rush!
Give yourself time.
At the beginning of the course I just wanted to make money as fast as possible. But I realized the more I hurried, the less productive I was. I think it has to do with fun. If you do things fast, you don't enjoy them. You can't get the full content out of it. And I think that is with everything in life. The slower you go, the faster you get.
Buuuut you still need deadlines. Otherwise you will never finish, haha.
My plan for the next 6 months
The good thing is that I will have a great change in my life.
From february 2017 (in 2 weeks) I will be unemployed. So I will have a lot of time to work on my website. That's the good thing.
The bad thing is, that I won't have any income anymore.
Sounds worse than it actually is, because I made some preparations, hehe.
The last year I saved some money. This money will be enough to survive 6 months without working. So I want to invest all the time I have in the WA course. At least 8 hours per day.
I know, a risky move but I am fed up of doing the 9 to 5 job. I really hope to never be an employee again.
My plan is to earn at least 500€ per month until the end of May 2017. 500€ would be enough for the first. I think after that everything will be easier.
My plan for the next 3 Months
For the next 3 months I plan to finish the WA course. To be honest I don't really know what is expecting me, but I think with 8 hours working per day I can finish the course in 3 months.
So that's my progress and my plans for the future.
I am really excited about it. Thank you Wealthy Affiliate for giving me the opportunity to live a life in financial freedom. I am sure that I will make it.
And I wish all the other members here a lot of success with their plans.
Stay focused and dedicated.
Much love,
Sergej
PS: sorry for my not perfect English :)

Sergej, I am so happy to have found your post!
1. Your English is just perfect. I was thinking about that while reading. We are kinda in the same place regarding that :)
2. Your progress is fantastic. Keep on!
3. I am sorry for your job situation, but as I can see you are very positive and you will attract money outside of the 9-5 job. Every situation is very good and positive for us. Why? We find that soon or later :)
4. I think that is very real to accomplish those goals you set.
GOOD LUCK!

I am not sure if you are able to give me a comment, because my website is in German.
But you can try (maybe you can speak German, I don't know)

I really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot!
Much success,
Sergej
I used to speak in German but I forgot it.
Why don't you create your website in English, it will target more people around the world :)
It's a good point.
I am still quite unsure about my English :(
But you are right, I could get more traffic and there is more space to unfold.
So I have some questions for you then :p
English wasn't your first language as well right?
How did you learn it? Did you take English courses or did you learn it just by writing blog articles?
Yup it's much better and you will get more support from the community. They will gain you traffic, comments and so on.
My first language is Serbian. I had mandatory classes of English and German in the school.
Had a good passive knowledge. Took more classes after the school. Went on the ship 5 years ago, and worked for an American company (it was with the purpose of learning English).
When I started with the WA I wasn't so self-confident but I just broke the ice, closed my eyes and started writing. I was very afraid to start writing even though I was so secure while talking, but writing and sharing my thoughts in that way as scary.
The community helped me a lot. And writing the blog posts here before I started my website.
I also use Grammarly, you have the review on this on my site :) It's free if you join through my link in my sidebar we both will get 7 days of the free premium :D
Hope this helps and encourages you to go for the site in English so that I and thousands of the WA members can be your audience and create some Google love for you :)
Yes, it definitely does.
As soon as I have translated my website to English, I will let you know so that you can leave me a comment :p
Thanks a lot for your help, Sunny. You gave me courage to take a step to the next level.
And I will definitely use the link in your sidebar :p
