Wow! It's been just over a month since I've signed up and, well, I've been learning quite a bit. There's some information that's been shared, by fellow WA members, as well that I have yet to delve in to, but that I know will help me immensely. It's been kind of hectic...but, kind of awesome at the same time.

My first project was meant to help bring a more positive mindset to people by using pop culture to help alleviate their negative thoughts and perceptions. Funny enough, shortly after January began I found myself succumbing to the said negativity. It was a struggle to even write anything. On top of that I was trying to contribute to my writing website weekly (a commitment I'd made to myself on New Years), as well as work at plugging away on the second draft of a novel I'm on year two of working on.

I got stressed. I had headaches.

So, I took a step back for a moment and stared at the website I was plugging away on through WA and realized...my heart just wasn't into that niche at the moment. I was stoked when I'd begun, but I just couldn't bring myself to want to contribute to it. So, I created a new one. It's probably too broad, but I'm far more excited for it than I think I was for Pop Culture Positive. It combines my love of lists with my love for fiction, and I just think it's a better fit for me at this point in the year and my life.

At some point yet I may return to Pop Culture Positive, but for the time being I'm all about The Fic List.

Anyway, just wanted to stake a claim in this blog area. I am still alive for anyone who was concerned. Jeff...Spencer...Jason...any of you who have been chatting with me through PM or email on occasion. I'm here. I'm still trying.

I'm definitely not ready to give up.
