Continued from What ‘Moves You’ To Take Action? -Part 1

The point of the ‘heart’ being more powerful than the ‘mind’, as a motivating influence, is that the former engages emotion and feelings while the latter is built on a premise of calculation and logic. Yes the mind is very powerful and can achieve incredible things, yet it seems most agree that in reference to what makes folk ‘take action’ (ultimately being website visitors purchasing from our monetized sites), is always based on an emotional drive and rarely triggered by a cognitive process alone (of course - robots excluded :) ).

It may be logical to consider pursuing a sub-niche within the Health, Travel or Relationship markets, for example – but if you’re not passionate about any of these then it’s probable that your results will be limited and your IM experience likely to become more consistent with a ‘job’ than that of an exciting journey toward financial independence and time freedom.

Let me share a brief example: - Let’s say, for argument’s sake, you see before you a solid stone or brick wall & the instruction is given for you to proceed with the demolition of that structure.

Under 'standard procedure', you are educated on the actual composition of the wall, including reinforcing components and construction materials, coupled with a detailed outline of the preferred process to best achieve the planned demolition. This would be a logical, mental application of effort and, basically, constitute the process of “How”.

Alternatively, in the second instance, you are advised that ten million dollars in cash have been stashed behind the wall and if you are able to demolish the structure, the money will be yours to keep. This now invokes a very powerful and emotional component, which intensifies your focus and drive to work out the “How” - no matter what it takes - because you have a concise & clearly defined “Why”. Even if that task is demanding and difficult – it won’t matter – you’ll do what it takes.

So with WA! Don’t just push forward on the “How” activities alone, without seeking to discover your true, heartfelt reason for making this happen - your genuine “Why”. This will function as an emotional catalyst with which you can strongly identify; then nothing will be able to stop you from achieving the success you desire and deserve.

Once you have your "Why" established, the pertinent components of your "How" will now become a clear consequence of the heartfelt reason(s) you are committed to taking consistent action, rather than just for the purpose of gaining extra knowledge about IM. Plus, your ability to advance more efficiently toward a worthwhile outcome will be further enhanced because now you are supported by WA's readily-available team of cash-rich, wall demolition experts.

Finally, a thought about the WA journey itself. Be encouraged that true happiness is not exclusively secured after reaching your targeted destination, but rather through the experiences encountered, and milestones achieved, during your actual journey.

You can motivate by fear and you can motivate by reward. But both those methods are only temporary. The only lasting thing is self-motivation.” Homer Rice

I see what you mean, I know why I am here but I also to know that to get to where I want to be I needed to learn the skill set and I gain this by being here, have also learned that some area's in life require us to put emotion aside when making certain decision. thanks for sharing further insights

Thanks so much for your comments, KatieMac.

And yes, many decisions need to be made with a cool, calculating head. It's just that when your heart is not involved in the very thing you're choosing to dedicate a large chunk of your life to - it usually becomes a struggle and a chore - giving credence to what my dear granny used to say - you know what, she'd say, you can always tell if a person's heart isn't in what they're doing - it certainly shows.

All the very best to you

Your granny was right you can see it and when you reach that point it is time you found the spark or look for a different job

start of the day for me

Haha - yes - hope the sparks will continue to fly for us both here at WA. Enjoy a productive day (or night).
