Over 145 Click in past month for my Amazon Affiliate - Still 0 conversion

Hello Guys,

I've been doing few different types of optimizations. Trying different things in my first month at WA form. I've learnt few things, I'm yet to finish all my certifications, but I've been trying few other things by reading other people's posts in here and with my 10 year blogging experience.

I've started 2 different blogs which are driving around 15-20 visits/day. Did some Web 2.0, Social Media linking ranking for few keywords on first page of Google. These blogs are over 45 days old

I've been waiting for my first conversion and it's still yet to happen on Amazon. I've monetized these blogs with my Adsense ads as well (earning 0.1 - 0.5), which I won't complain because that's what Google pays for low traffic.

I'm thinking of removing Adsense and focus only on Amazon affiliates to see how it goes.

Over 145 Click in past month for my Amazon Affiliate - Still 0% conversion. I feel its because of distraction created by Adsense. I've been trying in page affiliate widgets and sidebars. I'm getting clicks, but people aren't buying. May be I'm focusing on wrong niche. One of my niches is finance and other is auto, both blogs focusing on products ranging between $200 - $1500. I probably need to promote some low cost products of $50 - $200 to make sure people buy them.

Any thoughts!

You need to test different things on your blog so you can narrow down the problem. 45 days is a short time to start seeing results unless you were super aggressive with the promotion part of it.

I've literally tested hundreds of call to actions, banners and their placement in order to figure out which get a response and what I needed to ditch.
Sometimes you'll strike a winner right out of the gate and then other times nothing seems to work.
What type of of blog is it? I know you said finance and the other is auto.
Both of these niches are money makers but it will depend on your content value and how it is perceived by your potential customer.
But when I ask, what type,
Is it a review site? Story style site?

Another tip I learned was that after I wrote an article, I will read it as though I just came across it for the first time. Sometimes I think I just wrote a masterpiece of content, then

know your target market take some paper and a pen and actually write up a profile description of who this person is.
Who are they?
What do they need? What problem can you fix for them?
Where are their demographic stats,
meaning where they live, hang out etc. This will be just a rough guide you create to keep your focus on that niche.

Another question I have is the location of your banners or links in the widget. Are the ads and Titles of your posts above the fold?

Do you have a call to action within your post or at the end as a recommendation?

There are a lot of different reasons and there is no formula that works for everything.
If you aren't yet, I would set up an email capture page or widget.
If you're capturing their emails so you can follow up build a trust with them then that will definitely help
There is a free plug-in that is perfect for this called " Sumome "
you might want to check it out.

Hope this helped

Darren

Just try to be personable and create quality content. I would say ditch the high end offers and go for something much more affordable like $10-$50, just to see if you can get some people to bite. Once you see people starting to buy, analyze what about the certain post and/or offer is unique and then try it for a higher ticket item.

You seem to be on the right track, but I think you are trying to skip steps to get to the profit instead of working your way up.

Best of luck,

Jonathon
