My first few weeks
I have started WA few weeks ago as a complimentary course to other online course that I am taking which helps me with creating mine online store and brand. As I develop my products for online sales I choose a niche that is related to my product, that I intend to sell.
So far I follow the course and find it very interesting. I like the community and helping environment that WA has created. It is very valuable. Studying this course I also develop personal principles and one of them is "learn, create and help somebody every day". No excuses. Somewhat similar to WA values here. I try to check myself every evening by asking whether I can check all three boxes.
It was a challenge for me to choose a niche. I was struggling to take what I am passioned about (running, golf, fitness for men over 40 (I know those are three different niches by themselves)) and product that I plan to sell (niche is in sustainable packaging and zero waste).
As I have started to develop product prior to entering WA, I reasoned that it would be great to combine efforts and create web page for product and promote it outside platform that I intend to sell it in (Amazon), as well as sell the product itself. Also, it will be mine first attempt and later with all the knowledge that I will gain, I can jump into mine passion niche as well and develop some products on Amazon as well to combine niches again. So currently it is strictly business for me to learn how to navigate online sales and affiliate marketing.
At the beginning it was little discouraging to write something that you are not necessarily passioned about but you have interest in (after Kyle did mention this in one of the training) is started to post. Post after post mine courage grew. I know posts are far from perfect, I have not given them to proofread and photos are still long way to improve. However, the point is different I like to create content and as I am analytical by nature it is interesting to dig into the subject you know little about and gain knowledge.
So the niche is sustainable products and sustainable packaging. All about zero waste and zero plastic waste. This problem is huge. Really did you know that only 9% of nine billion tons of plastic that world has ever produced has been recycled? Nine billion tons are comparable with 25 000 Empire State buildings. :-)
I have no financial results so far as I am awaiting next courses to get more knowledge about how to do it. But I do have web page and 5 posts :-) which I wrote. If anybody is interested in content please visit bearflox.com and take a look.
My plans for upcoming next 3 months are to keep creating content (at least 2 posts a week) and set up the web page for traffic so it looks more professional than now.
My plans for next half a year is to get revenue from mine site. I don't know yet what are the numbers in affiliate business, but some $100 a month would be good start, if I could get that number I know I can multiply it by doing right things consistently and improving quality.
