Seems very interesting. Though would agree with some of the members about slowly adding content and then including the menus. Also the title on the left is of the same color as the background.

Very good start just one suggestion if you want to take it. Put a little yellow or red into the lettering of your site name and see what it looks like. Right now it is just a little hard to read it properly. Keep up the great work.

I like your thinking in relation to the extensive drop down menu "how to make...." etc. It shows forward thinking and planning...Marketing wise, you might wish to make a post a "sticky" post and have it always show up as the first one- to complement the content you put on your home page? That way you can really work out what the hooks for your readers are to draw them in with answers to the questions that are in their heads...Good job Richie..

sure thing Richie: generally just Google the question and if you see codexwordpress come up in the results- which it pretty much always does,go there first: http://codex.wordpress.org/Sticky_Posts for example! I suggest you reference the "3 ideas" element in the training, for the home page content.
Always try to get your main points in high up, and preferably in bullet point format- you have 1 second to get attention, the trick is to spin that second out. Pictures are great too....I headed over to morguefile.com, and put stress in the search box and came up with this http://morguefile.com/archive/display/89777 generic, completely attribution free, and ATTENTION GRABBING....looks someone who has been scammed!! gotta dash, more if you need it, here or PM me, Andy

My opinion for a few changes... Change your logo/Site name. The colour is too similar to the backgorund its very hard to read. And in your navigation bar... You've spelt recommendation wrong. Only 1 C in there buddy :)
But it looks like a good start! Keep adding content now!

I can tell you're planning on lots of content form your drop-down menu, I like how you're planned all those already.
Personally though. I'd have them written down on paper or saved a a draft so they're not on my site live yet. JUST IN CASE you start getting a few visitors before you get around to writing all those posts, you won't have people clicking on "empty links"
