Your mindset of abundance - Why it's so important in business
So, besides going ALL IN with new fashion blog from last month, I made it a point to work on my money mindset and beliefs throughout the month with the help of a life coach through Skype calls, reading books like "Think and Grow Rich", watching educational Youtube videos, and just doing a lot of self-reflection and journalling.
I'm also getting my coaching certification at the moment, and what I've learnt from coaching, is that CHANGE can happen in a second, like the flip of a switch. And I've seen this happen in my own life through several shifts in my life.
I've always thought that I had some mental/emotional blocks with regards to money and abundance in my life. I've always been a great student and learner, but when it came to my career, I was stuck in terms of earning. Especially over the past few years, I felt that I had reached an income ceiling in my career and often felt stuck. It wasn't until going through this affiliate journey and coaching, that I finally got to work on these blocks.
As a result of my learnings this past month, I've come to realize several AHA moments that I experienced, and it has enhanced my journey in my business for sure. I'd thought that I'd share it here with you:
1) 1st AHA moment:
After watching this video with Marie Forleo and Kate Northrup.
One of the money beliefs that she mentioned was that money is not my responsibility.
After I heard that, I knew that this was secretly what I believed for myself, that someone would come and take financial responsibility for me, so that meant that I didn't care 2 hoots about money. (I did care, but in a fear-based way).
Also, I was afraid of my bank account, I secretly feared looking at my bank balance, because I thought it was very low and I was constantly broke - when in actual fact, I'm really not. But I had associated shame & guilt towards my money, which in essence was blocking more money and abundance from coming my way.
She talks about a good tip that resonated with me: How to associate good feelings with your bank account. This made a lot of sense to me, because it seemed like the same principles as the Law of Attraction, which I also have done a lot of reading about. Take a good listen to the video, and see what advice you can take from it! It's short, but very insightful.
2) 2nd AHA moment:
During one of my Skype coaching calls, I came to realization that I had another disempowering belief against my goals for my blog - that I didn't believe that it could happen! I believed that if my goal were to actually come true, it was TOO GOOD to be true, and thus I was blocking myself from even getting there!
I was really surprised when all these disempowering statements came out of my mouth, but I was very glad that I went there. Let's just say that, once we managed to uncover that limiting belief, I was able to replace with a much more empowering one!
3) 3rd AHA moment:
Through reading these books like "The Code of the Extraordinary Mind" by Vishen Lakhiani , but still getting frustrated about my slow progress, I started journalling about the work I had put in so far.
While I was journalling, I came to an understanding that I was attaching my happiness to an end goal, versus being happy & abundant in the present. And while I was doing that, I wasn't able to attract more abundance to myself, as I was always in 'lack'. Once I realized that, and made that mindset shift to feel happy & abundant in the now with my current state, something clicked. I can't explain it, but I woke up the next day and I felt like I cracked the code. I was infinitely happier and feeling more abundant already, and I could start seeing signs where money started flowing in for my clients and also for myself in different ways, where they were previously stuck - I got job offers, work offers and other ways to make money dropped into my lap. Is it the Secret, the Law of Attraction or something else...? I don't know, but I can tell you it's working because I feel it in my body.
Yes I know, it does sound WOO-WOO, and most people wouldn't understand or believe that any of these concepts work in real life. But mindset shifts are unquantifiable really, aren't they?
I'm a huge fan of personal development and personal growth, so I just wanted to share this with other people, if it could help them in one or another. Let me know in the comments :)

Yes it has. I guess that is why Bob Proctor has spent the past 55 years reading it over and over!

Hi...self discovery is so empowering. One of the beautiful side effects of WA is that we are growing and learning about ourselves...as well as learning about affiliate marketing. Quite a fascinating journey.
