Mission and Vision Statements
Mission and Vision StatementsHow does a mission and vision statement impact a business?
Mission Statement
Every company should have a mission and vision. A mission statement is the core of your business, the beliefs. It is what your company is about.
Companies that do not have a mission statement have more turmoil within a company as employees or even your self do not really understand what you are doing, what the company is about. It gives a reason and meaning. It relates to goals. Ask Yourself,
What business am In?
What does this organization do?
What is the company primarily focused on?
"Your mission statement is fully advanced, where goals and strategies are being fully achieved," (Palmer, Duford Buchanan, 2018).
Mission (goals) identify desired results, improve the moral of the company, explain YOU.
Example: "Women in their prime 35 + years are more sexy now, than they were in their 20s"
VISION
Vision is how the company is going to get to the mission. It is the future of how to make it happen.
It is an aspiration which can help mobilize the energy and passion of organizational members.
"A vision statement paints a picture of the future of the company and its goals,", (Higuera, 2019).
Employees
What makes a vision meaningful to stakeholders is they have more of an understanding of what the business is about. Let others help with ideas.
Employees feel more accountable to stand up to the values of the company as it makes them feel important like they have a reason for what their job is.
Designing Your Mission StatementWhen you design your vision statement, think about the size of the company as you think about how to build your vision. Could you become big enough to innovate with another in the future?
2 ComponentsMission-"Showing the world bird dogs and birds ca be friends"
1. Information that expresses how it will be achieved.
2. Information that appeals to values and beliefs. The motivation that makes it work.
How to Design Your Vision Statement
(Palmer, Dunford, & Buchanan, 2018)
FramingCreating the meaning. The vision of the company.
Example: Women in their prime, years of wisdom
ScriptingUsing various rhetorical devices, such as metaphors and stories, to increase the appeal of the message
Example: "sharing inspirational stories, enhancing each other’s lives, bring in a more inspiring tomorrow”
Staging:
Use symbols, write it out, design.
Performing
Put it on your website, put it into action and watch results.
You are at the beginning stages so tweak it till ya like it!
Be passionate, daring, creative.
Set your mission than plan with vision
"Women in their prime 35 + years are more sexy now, than they were in their 20s"
I hope this helps some people. Having a mission, your core of the business with values, with values really does help give you a focus as well as employees and helping your audience to understand what your about.

Hello everyone this is Sheri. I wanted to share how important a mission and vision statement ca be. I made a new logo and added my mission and vision from my new nitch, it is not the bird and dog.
Thanks for trying out my material!
Just a note:
Organizations go through Changes
If a vision is not very future orientated, it is better to keep the original vision and add to it as the original vision is part of when the company was founded. Sometimes their are such big changes and the company gets a different focus and goals, then is a good time to change the mission statement ad vision statement.

Hello...
Based on what we have learn in the past lesson we have to make content rich article and as what l have observed. your content is ok. just revise it so that you can produce a beautiful presentation. avoid bold letters all the time.
merven
Setting goals IS important. It provides purpose and drive. Same concept as a vision board.
Thanks for presenting this Sheri!
All the best,
Tom
Yes it is. I thought I put that point across. I guess not very well. Do you think I use to may pictures?
No I don't think so. Seeing a post that is all text without images don't hold my interest as well.
I think there is a good blend with yours in that regard.
What I would say is that the story seems a bit disjointed. I feel it could flow better from paragraph to paragraph.
Just my opinion - I'm by no means a writer or critic.
Have a beautiful day!
Tom
I bet you read lol. I appreciate your feedback and you are right, I should use better words for connecting or have the last sentence flow onto the next paragraph better. Use connecting words. That will be my next post.
What is it that you want your blog to do or look like.?
In my opinion I don't think you have too many pictures.
May be changing the size of the fonts you are using for headings with the size you're using for the body text would make it look more balanced.
Hope this helps
All the best
Thank you. I thought I could of done better than that. Sometimes it is hard to tell with editor
Sorry guys, my blog is not doing what I want it to. Do I have too many pictures? I will be redoing this idea.
Not too many pics..maybe play with the formatting a bit. I know sometimes the editor can be a bit finicky. Have had issues myself in the past.
Overall the article is full of great useful information ☺

Does anyone know why when I .try and fix my headings they keep going back to paragraph instead of Heading 1 I use for title than the sub headers I set at 2 but will not stay,
You could try highlighting it all and making it all the same size. Highlight the pieces you want at Heading 2 and change them. Highlight and change the pieces you want as paragraphs.
Also you could save the text to a word document - then delete the text of your post and start from scratch. Cutting and pasting the text from Word into your post.
Get each piece how you want it before moving on to the next.
Hope this helps. All the best.
Thank you
