Use Data To Drive Your Decisions
How Did I Start Out With Wealthy Affiliate
When I first started out with wealthy affiliate I wanted to write content but I didn't have a focus yet. I picked a website and broke it down into three categories. I know the training state to pick a really defined niche but I couldn't decide when I started.
I have seen with a lot of websites out there that they write articles about everything, not just one thing, so I decided to run with that method.
The topic I really gravitated to was Make Money Online, I think it is the most exciting.
What Were The Results?
After about 2 or 3 months I had written about 20 or 25 well written (what I think is well written and long) articles.
I am a huge follower of google search console, not as much google analytics. Google analytics is good for showing traffic and where it is coming from, and I would probably use it a lot more once I start getting a lot more traffic. However, google search console shows me how many clicks, impressions, and queries people are using to get to my page.
After 2 or 3 months, the organic traffic was really slow, I knew I had to wait, and keep plugging away. I gave the MMO topic a break (make money online) and transitioned to writing about brewery operations. I own a brewery so I know a lot about breweries, and I started writing about them.
After about 3 articles, I started seeing a lot of clicks and impressions and organic traffic to my website. However What was driving the traffic?
Google search console is the platform that shows what pages and what queries and what impressions are coming from. It turned out that all this traffic was coming from my brewery operations articles.
I Let The Data Drive My Decision
Once I saw how big of a driver brewery operation articles were I started to shift focus to that, so I started a new website and focused on brewing operations.
I've only had my brewing operations website for about a month, and I only have about 4 articles, and it is beating the amount of impressions as my original website with MMO.
That doesn't mean I'm stopping with MMO website, however I am shifting my focus. A majority of the time will now go to my brewery website, and developing that. The rest of the time will go to my MMO because I really do like that aspect.
Conclusion
This was a big eye-opener on how competitive the Make Money Online niche is. Anyone can get into it, but it will take a LOT of time, effort and content to break into that niche.
If something doesn't work, or your not getting the results you are looking for, shift your focus a little and see what happens. Shifting can lead to some really great results.
Always reevaluate your site and your content, when you visit your site try to evaluate is objectively. Is this a site you would want to visit, why, why not?
Never give up, just because you are not getting the results you are looking for. If you are not getting them, try something new, do not give up. 100% of the people that give up never make it in affiliate marketing (I love how obvious that statement is right there haha)
thanks for reading, if you don't use google search console, DO, it can help you understand what people are seeing.
Good luck and God speed!

Love this! This is absolutely CHURCH. You go where the market takes you. You know what you're passionate about, and you see people who share that passion finding their way to you. That's what it's all about. Anyone can write articles about making money online, but like you said, there's soo many people posting about that.
You can offer those same opportunities within your own niche, thanks for this inspiration :).
Army Strong!!!! Hoah!
