Yep 100% keep SiteKit, it's one of the most helpful plugins there is.
Basically, you'll eventually set up "tracking tools" for your website, these measure the number of visitors to your website, which articles they're reading, how long they're staying on your website, etc.
Really, really, really useful information.
The main "tracking tools" you'll eventually install are Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
To install and configure these can take a while, many people struggle with it, and there are plenty of tutorial videos here to help set these up.
BUT
With the SiteKit plugin, you literally have to click 2-3 buttons to set everything up, it's practically all done for you.
As for an app, nope, but the WA platform and interface is completely mobile-friendly.
