When I look back at some of the posts you guys have made, I get it.

I'm not alone, am I?

I mean, life really does get in the way sometimes, despite all your best intentions.

I guess it's possible that my life may be a little busier than most - living at Grand Central Station where EVERYONE stops at all stations doesn't help! Oh, and I don't really live at Grand Central Station - it just feels like it. With 8 adults, 2 children, 4 alpacas, 8 chooks, 3 dogs and a cat sharing my property (don't worry, we have 2 houses), you can pretty much imagine our everyday chaos.

But I'll let you know a little secret. I know what my main problem is, and unfortunately it's a problem that has plagued me since I started this internet marketing hamster wheel over 12 years ago.

Can you guess?

Shiny Object Syndrome was the name given to it a while ago, and I think it still means the same thing nowadays, but even after I saw the light (e.g. Wealthy Affiliate) the "tendencies" are still there.

I just got too cocky. I decided to have more than one iron in the fire at a time. Whether this is because I'm unsure that my original website will cut the mustard, or whether it's a leftover trait from the Shiny Object Syndrome days, I don't know.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that when you have your eggs spread over more than one basket, the attention has to be split too. And then add into the mix the goings on at Grand Central Station.... I think you get the picture.

So, I'm gonna just get right back on track and (gulp) follow the training. There. I said it. So now it's out there, it makes me accountable. And I really think that's what I need.

Whew. That feels better already! Good luck to you all, and if you're not at that junction yet - the cocky point where you think you can handle more, resulting in too many irons in the fire - I'm testament to the result: DON'T DO IT!
