Perserverance pays off. Hesitant to share as well.

Hi there, I want to share one of my two sites now has five site-indexed articles and my other site now has one. I realize they aren't in rank mode, yet the fact that they made it to indexed has me motivated to continue writing and looking for keywords.

I've learned that keywords are called keywords for a reason and that putting in the effort to locate the best keywords doesn't come with the option of 'do it' or 'don't'.

Either put in the effort, or the article goes nowhere.

I've also learned that my sites aren't for everyone and that's completely fine; learning to not take comments/feedback/judgements personally has been a hard lesson. I can now see beyond whatever the person is saying and get to the root, which then allows me to grow. Or, I simply say to myself, that's their shit, and move on.

I'm exploring FB/IG ads for my bodymindbodyworkwellness.com as I prefer to keep it clean of ads - I personally do not care for when I land on a site that's inundated with ads/pop-ups and the like. I click on their site to read an article, and to focus; not be distracted by tons of other things. I also remember Kyle giving advice to choose either link-based articles, ad-based, or a combination of the two.

I'm hesitant to share and am looking for ways to promote my enhancefemaledesire.com website; I cannot post or share any of the content to classic social media platforms due to the sexual nature and am open to positive only suggestions on where to get eyes on this site. Thank you.

All in all, I continue to move forward with making my first affiliate sale from promoting an affiliate link in my newsletter a couple of weeks ago!

This first $22 from online affiliate marketing is my baby step into much more. I'm now more excited to explore promoting links in my newsletter, albeit with care as readers are keen to pick up on patterns. I'm thinking once a month is a good ratio as it's a biweekly newsletter.

If you visit the bodymindbodyworkwellness.com site, there'll be a pop-up about 11 seconds in asking if you'd like to subscribe. Here's my most recent newsletter so you can decide if it's a good fit for your email inbox.

That's it, thanks for reading and clicking on any of the links, big appreciation to all.

-Shannon

Hi Shannon, congratulations on getting indexed and making your first sale, it's an exciting milestone. I agree, ads on your site can certainly make it less user-friendly at best, and annoying at worst. You're making the right decision in that regard at this stage. Many new affiliate marketers tend to jump into Adsense too early when their site has fewer than 100 articles.

As for being unable to post sex-related content on social media, that's not necessarily true. The TOS on social media platforms is somewhat vague on what constitutes "sexual content," but it's reserved for pornography.

I read through your site, and there's nothing on it that would violate the TOS. Many established news sites like VICE, Men's Health etc., share Sexual health content on social media without any issues. It's only a matter of how the article is written and labelled. If the article doesn't have "explicit" images or language, you'll be fine.

There are ways to get around the TOS without violating it. One example is using an image of a fruit to represent certain body parts in the article. Images like that are VERY effective in getting people to click through to your site as they are risque but not explicit. Another way is to use euphemisms as well. You have great content, and I think you shouldn't write off social media as a potential traffic source just yet.

Hi, Oneiros; thank you for your encouragement on social media platforms and my enhance female desire site. I am SO AFRAID of getting banned as I've been banned from Pinterest and am SO AFRAID of then getting my site banned across all of the internet that I am now hesitant to even continue sharing it anywhere and am relying on it getting ranked on Google/Bing/Yahoo organically.
Basically, I'm PETRIFIED of everything Social Media.

Hi Shannon,
Interesting site(s) I liked them both. In fact, I like that you don't want to litter up your site with ads. I agree it's a pain in the rear when you have to keep scrolling past them. However, in setting up my Adsense account (which isn't active yet) I learned that we can set up as few as we would like, so it might not be that bad to give it a go! Im working on my site daily, well every few days, and find it tough to keep up sometimes. How do you manage 2 sites! How are you making out with your rankings and being indexed?

Hi Kaolschewske, I aim to have a couple of templates going each week for both sites, and I plug them along with each article until they are done. I also aim for no more than 1000-1500 words per article as I find that (for myself) I like to get to the point of things when reading. Doing this helps me to write faster, less mucky muck words that are fluff.
As I write more articles, I may sign up for Adsense and give an ad or two a go -the verdict is still out on that one.
