The Right Time to Make a New Website

I've been struggling with this decision for a while now.

I have one website which I started last month and I'm trying to write consistent blogs for it. The website is not to promote WA.

But lately I've been thinking about making a new website with a niche surrounding affiliate marketing and WA but I'm not sure if the timing is right.

I want to earn affiliate commissions as well as revenue from my current website. I haven't made any money from my current website yet as it's quite new.

I started the affiliate bootcamp training and was intrigued by the potential that's there.

So is it a good idea to just focus on my current website and wait until it starts making consistent revenue to start another website?

Or should I just dive right in and set up another website and have both running simultaneously?

Ahh!!! ... I'm going crazy trying to make up my mind.

I hope I can get some clarity soon as I really want to push ahead with this online business venture.

Any insight would be appreciated and thanks for reading :)

Shantaye,
Time management. Timotheus makes some great points. I agree with him almost 100% but... There is this strange thing called passion. Follow what is the most important to you.
I work a full-time job, I have 8 miniature horses, 5 dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, geese, and my Family. I also spend about 30 hours a week just on niche and time, quality time, is very important..
Good luck with your decision, you will make the right one for you.

Wow! You're juggling a lot but still getting the work done. Thank you for putting it out there that it is definitely possible to get it all done, once you're passionate about what you do and have a clear goal in mind.

I look at it this way I have my niche website which just got indexed by Google so I can't give that one up and then I have started to promote WA. I am running both sites and working on both of them together yes it is a lot of work but I can do this because I know that both my sites will earn me money I don't know when but I will have an income soon. Right now I am having a rough time with the content on WA. So I hope this helps you out to make a decision.

I agree that it can be done, even though it's a lot of work. I am struggling with the same thing about possible content for the WA promotion website. But if we put in a lot of work now, it will pay off in the future because building a solid foundation is key. I hope you get some more inspiration for the WA content, maybe try using jaaxy for potential keywords to build your content around. Thanks again.

You are so very welcome and thank you for the information I really appreciate that. I will try that.

Good question Shantaye. Kindly allow me to share what I experienced.

I too faced the same crossroad just like you. I created a website when I did the Certification Training. Then when I did the Bootcamp, I saw the potential of promoting WA. So I created another website to do that.

Oh, just a bit of back story, I am doing all this part time. I am a freelancer who does projects that pay the bills. Due to this fact, I found it challenging to work on 2 websites at the same time.

Sure, you can say - it just requires good time management. And your thought is that you are only going to write posts for each site. But it is not just writing posts.

Don't forget - you must promote both websites too. Just writing blog posts will not be enough. You have to promote these 2 businesses on social media, update posts on the social media accounts, engage with people on their accounts to attract attention to yours, reply to comments, etc.

All that takes up a lot of time.

Fast forward to a year or slightly more later, and I find myself working more on one site than the other. But that site that I am working on - sales are slow. Very very slow.

Recently, I started to promote the site that I am selling WA. That little bit of promotion I did for that site surprisingly showed more and better results.

So, guess what? Yup. I have decided to slow down on the first site I did, and focus more on the site promoting WA.

So my advice is - take a good and hard look at both opportunities. See which one has more potential for sales. Look at target audience. Look at competition.

Competition is the one to watch out for. For my 1st website, it was a travel website. So my competitors are all the travel websites like Lonely Planet, TripAdvisor, etc. It is not easy to rank my posts higher than them. Also, they are trusted brands, and my brand is a new kid on the block. All this = low traffic for my website = slow sales.

I hope the above helps?

This is really great advice Timotheus. I should really look at the potential for both and see what works best and where I should spend more time. I'll have to think long and hard about that one. But thanks for putting things into perspective.

My pleasure, my friend. :)

Trust your training. What does Kyle recommend?

I don't know if he has a specific recommendation or maybe I'm just not there yet. But I guess time management would be a major factor. Thanks.

Working with one site would help your time management and working through the pot holes that are inevitable.
