Every Day Is An Opportunity
From my 20s to my 30s, I lived day by day reacting to the world around me just like most people do. Learning by trial & error more than research or self-development.
As I approached my 40s, I started to realize what was important to me so this led me down a road of learning, of searching, of trying to find a better way. From going to TedX talks to buying every self-help & marketing system I could find.
Largely because I knew I was meant to do more than I currently was.
Now that I am actually 40, the last year was the most impactful because I focused my mindset & on what it takes to be a better man, a better father, a better husband, & a better provider. No longer chasing money...after all, it is just a tool.
One we need but never the less, just a tool.
I have never been one that likes to write, especially about my life but over the last year, I learned that part of self-growth & moving forward each day depends on the actions you take.
For me, it is learning than using what I learned.
Mainly so it sinks in more & the lesson sits home.
A phrase I started saying to myself is:
Learn, Implement, Succeed.
The learning part is obvious along with implementing, that is taking action on what you learned.
The one that most people get wrong in my opinion is success.
That is defined differently for each of us.
At age 40, I now look at every day as a gift, an opportunity, an ability to be a better version of myself tomorrow than I am today.
For some people, this may seem obvious, for some it may seem stupid, for others it may seem like I am behind, & for some, it may be right on track.
Each of us has a journey, you have own where you are to get to where you want to be.
