Messaging Clear/Unclear

So, I was just reading new posts today and responding to questions and such, then Eric (aka Batman) made a post about being yourself when it comes to writing and blogging here at WA. Because we have a good amount of AI-created posts here that are missing that human touch (I might even leave some of my mispelld words in one of my posts one day! Ha ha!). Theres nothing wrong with Ai helping create your work as long as you make it your owns. Get creative with it.

I had an epiphany about 30 mins ago (No, I will not allow my dyslexia to misspell this word, "epiphany.") just reading Erics post and commentary about this subject, and the epiphany I had was not about AI, but it was about creating a landing page sharing my experience about how Affiliate Marketing has changed my life. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

I had a thought that if I share my experience that is genuine and honest in this landing page, that I make “some what like a personal story-blog” (if that is even a word) I might draw some genuine and honest people too! Who may be curious more about the topic.

Honesty and being genuine about yourself are what really draw people's attention. Stories sale. Especially success stories (doesn't necessarily have to be about money. Money just draws people faster). This is something AI can't do. Ai can never live your experience it can only copy what you put out and it's that genuine experience that real people are looking for.

Lost in the Sauce

I believe that AI has oversaturated the market and people who are looking for genuine stories are getting turned off by it. Thus I have an opinion that is not yet widely received but it is gaining steam. I think we will experience and AI (dot com) bubble burst as more people experience Ai fatigue.

Not us current users of course but maybe (really) our readers/viewers will. Which is why it is so important to not forget the "Human" element. Because at the end of the day humans will be human. Authenticity matters and Authenticity will deliever.

Back to the idea.

Now what I meant by sharing my experience is using my life story as the topic of the discussion explaining situations about how affiliate marketing as a business or even just having the knowledge of it benefited me in my day to day life.

I work in the service industry and I literally cannot "un-see" how to solve issues within my department, management and with guest complaints. See these are lived experiences. Having the knowledge in marketing and branding helped me solve communication issues at my job. And I am an introvert!

I have always been a hands on person when it comes to learning something new or teaching it. I apply it to a situation or job that I am familiar with first. Sometimes unknowingly and thats how I learn if it will work or not. Which is what I am about to do with this epiphany. Share my lived experience with marketing inside a landing page. Not a lot but just enough to nudge the reader into wanting to Read More...👇🏾

Understanding a landing page purpose

What is the purpose of a landing page?

A landing page is a standalone webpage that entices users to click on a strategic call-to-action (CTA), such as “Get Started,” “Subscribe” or “Buy Now.” It has a clear and focused call-to-action, minimal distractions and tailored content that matches the visitor's intent and interest.
Landing pages focus on a single goal, typically conversion or lead generation. This precision makes them highly effective and lowers the costs of acquiring leads and making sales. They are the destination for people interested in learning more about your business after seeing your online marketing or advertising campaign, Shwake (Jun. 19) [1].

So, the purpose of landing pages are strategic ways to get leads and sales base on the content shared and are web portals to your “actual” websites which holds all of your content. This is important to know because just like every social media site has its own thing or unique function so does landing pages. Each tool in your digital arsenal has a different purpose and function.

Once you understand the function of the tools that you choose you will be able to utilize them to maximum effect. Which is why, I am taking this angle. People love to read and hear about authentic stories. And I believe that short stories on landing pages is the way to go. I am going to test this idea on an unsuspected social site.

Ill update you all with this test case sometime in the future, till then Happy Blogs!!

I agree with you. AI is great for research, ideas and saving time but you can tell when it has been used for story telling. It takes the human emotion away as it is a machine creating the words. As much as it likes to think, it doesn't have a beating heart... the value of the comment is then devalued in my opinion because you know the person sending it hasn't really had to use their brain or emotions to answer it... Great post BTW. I just came across your profile, and I will certainly be reading more of your posts. Well done... keep going. 👍😜🤗

Oh why thank you! 🙏 You will read about my ups and downs and me trying to figure things out. Unlike AI i am human. 😅

Thanks for sharing your epiphany! Authentic stories really do connect with people on a deeper level—especially in affiliate marketing. Your approach of using genuine personal experiences on your landing page sounds like a powerful way to engage and build trust. Looking forward to hearing how your test goes!

Pasting an AI comment in his thread of all threads is way past ironic. Alanis Morissette would have a field day with this if she had any idea what the definition of ironic was.

5

The intention is usually to contribute, not to undermine. Also, irony aside, it’s interesting how AI is becoming part of everyday conversations

1

Actual contributions are great. Let’s work to not say the same thing to the same people over and over. 👍🏼

This is great, Shak. And as someone who uses AI for hours daily I can tell you the unbelievable ability it has to get the creative juices flowing. You can, somewhat ironically, feed this awesome idea into GPT, and have it totally get what you’re saying and give you ways to exponentially grow this into something you didn’t even realize it could get to, with AI doing behind the scenes heavy lifting while your final product has your unmistakable final touch. That’s where I feel the balance and focus of using great tools should be and I 100% love this idea.

I like that the “aka Batman” reads almost redundant to WA members who have lost the ability to see Eric without reading Batman lolol

3

I just bounce ideas off AI, and do a lot of deep research. Asking direct questions. When I receive the answers to those questions, i look at the suggested questions it wants me ask it. I then formulate my own response that may and may not have anything to do with what me and the AI are talking about.🤣🤣🤣

I will jump from topic to topic just to get a better answer then i ask for sources to formulate these answers and questions better. Just to read them and come back and ask AI another question that is off topic. 😂

Co-pilot says i have an analytical mindset. I say I have a no bs mindset

So far, I've only read the headline of Eric's post, but I know I'll totally agree with him as I agree with you. I have WA AI fatigue.

I am actually getting WA blog fatigue. The reason? I am 'drowning' in unread blog posts even though I try to quickly delete the ones not relevant to me or by the prolific bloggers that churn out blog after blog just to collect WA points and earnings. Many members try to maximise their earnings, and since AI makes it so easy, they just find a helpful-sounding topic and get AI to write a whole series of blogs about it.

I don't think this is Eric's post.

No, it's Shakida's post. But she wrote it partly in response to Eric's post, as you can see at the top of her post.

'then Eric (aka Batman) made a post about being yourself when it comes to writing and blogging here at WA. '

It was in reference...ahhh shame on me.

1

No worries - it shows you're human. 🙂

Thank you

It depends on the actual content. I'd ask, is it the information I need? If yes, no problem how it was created. If not, then it sucked, no matter how it was written.

Yep, the content. The information matters to me, not the tools used.

I agree, Isabella, I have a whole dedicated time slot, 1030 am , specifically for reading my emails. My alarm goes off at that time and I know it’s time to read my emails.

The AI brain drain is real. There are some articles written here that a very helpful from those who use AI and I will read them.

Then there are those who I do not even engage with because it is AI heavy and no human.

2

Thanks, Kida. This article represents the real-life concern about AI that can either be ignored with risks, or taken seriously, with risks as well. What I know for a certain is that AI came to stay. It then matters how it works (it's getting better each day), and how we use it.

For me, if I can make it write my story, or rather, if I can "use it" to write my story (which is a major challenge since it gets it wrong about 70% of the time), then I shouldn't worry at all. It'll still be my own authentic story but now polished and presented for the modern readers.

As I said, it's a concern. According to a paper I read recently, about 50% of Americans still feel uncomfortable using generative AI or reading what it wrote. That's important to know since we don't write for ourselves, though we often think so, but for other readers with their own differing perspectives.

Landing pages to promote WA is a great idea

Sure, and I have the WA affiliate link on my website footer.

John

Agreed, and those 50% of Americans would do well to hold on to their skepticism. As we are in chaotic times. Tools that has the possibility to change the world for the better can end up damaging it depending on whose hands those tools fall into.

It’s that nagging human element, for good or for bad that will never allow any advancement in technology to move ahead “easily.” Especially AI. As we say here in the states, John, “too much going on.”
