HAHAHAHA! I hope you are all having a wonderful day! I just found out something new, for my state, (USA). Our dreadful summer season stretches all the way out to the end of this month😒. I Just knew September 1st would be the break we needed from these scorching temperatures.
But alas nope, the boot state will be seeing at least in my region, high 90s (over 95) well into the weekend. I just don't want to feel like I am slowly boiling! Ugh! Humidity at its worst!
Anywho, just a friendly check in, How are you all doing?
Do you guys like raspberries? These frozen ones in the photo below look really good on those pancakes. I like fluffy butter-ry milk pancakes. Me and my older brother and I, when we were younger, went to town (this is an expression), making peanut butter pancakes with extra butter🤣. I swear those pancakes were so good my brother could do no wrong, and it was literally his idea.
It was during a time when we had no food. Just flour, butter🧈, and peanut butter. Ooh! How I will never forget that day. I was watching him just adding a couple of spoons of "peanut butter" to his wet flour mix. I asked my bro what he was doing, and he said I'm making some pancakes with peanut butter. I said That's weird. Let me try some.
It was so good. I decided to add the "extra butter 🧈" to it to make the edges of the pancakes golden and flavorful. The whole house ate my brother's pancakes for days. Then we started experimenting with jelly, and this was all before we were aware of flavored pancakes.
Somehow, the best ideas come from memories made at home. This is your tip for the day in your pursuit of making your dreams come true.

What a great secret to share. I often forget that treats in the cooking field are not always complicated.
Cooking was not ever a thing I did for fun. It just isn't fun to me. But I have lived the majarity of my life in areas far removed from Pancake houses, or McDonald's.
To keep my family from being hungry, you cook. Now being past retirement, and family grown, I forget
that just a little added flavor makes a difference.

When it came to pancakes my favorite growing up was going to IHOP every Sunday with my parents, especially when they had their free pancake deals. I love the buttermilk pancakes at IHOP with nothing but extra melted butter, no syrup. I can eat those at any hour of the day!
The weather here in NJ is tricky. The morning temps feel like fall in the low to mid 50's. However by mid-day the temps go up to the mid to high 70's, occasionally making it into the low 80's. It's like fall in the morning and night, but summer during the day. Even the trees haven't changed color yet.

Same thing here in NJ. Many of the trees are still green and the leaves haven't started falling yet. Many of the flowering plants haven't dried up yet either. The weather doesn't know what to do. At least we don't have the humidity now...but we will always have IHOP. 🥞😆
