Success Already? [Weird, but Great Day!]

Happy Monday, fellow affiliates!

It's only the 7th of October and just wow, I actually have news to share since my last monthly update six days ago. Crazy!

My new site, my true passion and the whole reason I started to research turning blogging into a serious business and joined Wealthy Affiliate, is only a little over 3 months old now.

THREE MONTHS!

I've had some engagement on social media from one rescue within the first month I opened a twitter account for my new site. I got organic (if a TINY amount and I mean TINY) traffic, both search and referral traffic, by month two. I also met a fellow cat blogger on my site's Instagram who is super fun and have been coming by and commenting on my website, which is helpful, definitely! That's still in month two BTW.

AND on September 30th, I got messaged on Instagram by a brand. I didn't see this message until today. Then I was emailed by the same brand today before I had a chance to respond to the message I literally just saw.

It's not an unknown brand, either. I've heard of it. They've been in several articles, even. Including Forbes magazine and on as a contestant for a reality TV show similar to Shark Tank that ran on ABC Family, I think it was?. So it's not hinky.

That said, I did do research anyway, because I have never looked into the brand before specifically, I have just heard of it. I wasn't sure it would be a good fit for my niche, and it'll work a bit, since I do have foster kittens from my barn cat rescuing. (Honestly, anything cat related works, because a big part of getting outdoor cats fixed is finding homes for the babies after getting them fixed too. That means taming the feral turds.)

So of course, I emailed back and told them I was interested. I did tell them I would order it first before I agreed to anything completely because I don't want to be promoting anything I don't find excellent. (I have no reason to think I'll have an issue with the product).

Can I just mention, again, that my site just turned 3 months old on September 27th? My Instagram is only 2 1/2 months old even with only 146 followers so far. Crazy, crazy.

For such a new site and new accounts, it really did grow HUGE at first. The growth has leveled off to a steady slow growth. But still.

I'm rather proud of all of this. I thought I would share.

Keep in mind, I did NOT have this much success with the site I decided to practice on at first. Probably because it's really hard to write like you're excited and in love with something you're only mildly interested in.

But you have a niche that is your calling, your passion, your reason for living? THEN you can write a 5,000 word article without even trying and love getting on social media to talk to people about your niche, and it's all fun.

However, I did not take Sunday off and I have a book review due on one of my sites in a week, so I need to go do that.

Success CAN happen if you love what you're doing enough that it shows, people! I haven't even tried too hard yet!
