Agree with Edwin, I do not use adsense anymore, as I do not like that people been taken away from my site with the ad.
Google Adsense is not everything and there are much better providers out there than google adsense.
Cheers Sylvia
Some people don't like adsense, but almost every successful blog has ads of some kind because it's never wise to only have one income stream. Plus these policies are just updated old policies and likely are the same on most mainstream advertising services like Adsense or media vine or others. I am not affected by this and most of WA won't be either, unless they're promoting unapproved supplements or sex toys or vaping or something.
Ads are fine as long as they help me. If they start taking customers away than those ads harm your business. Every successful blog has ads that is 100% correct, what I said is there are better ad providers out there what you can put on your site. Google is not the only ad provider.
Ads only become an income stream if you are in the hundred thousand visitors. Otherwise, it is just peanuts.
Cheers Sylvia
There are other ad providers out there, yes, but better is subjective and based on opinion. But all ads take a visitor away from the website if they click on it, no matter which provider you use. And yes, it's peanuts unless you have a lot of traffic. But it's a huge source of income once you get some success.
Forget AdSense unless that is your main source of income. Kyle early on recommended we focus on all the other Money making strategies taught here instead AdSense. This latest move seals that advice.
Cheers.
Edwin
You should never have all your eggs in one basket. If I lose an affiliate program, I can make do with ads, and vise versa. It's why most successful sites use ads as well as affiliate marketing and other income streams.
No one should only have one income stream on their site. Or even two. If one goes away, they're screwed until they can replace it.
So I definitely don't agree with people discouraging the use of adsense or other ads. Kyle didn't say to forget Adsense, though the training is about affiliate marketing. That's why Adsense is included on WA. Not all sites use it, and that's cool. But no one should be saying others should not be.
Plus these new policies are just updated old policies, Adsense isn't doing anything crazy, just restricting ads on tobacco sites and other restricted content that most companies do not allow or restrict access to. Unless you're promoting unapproved supplements or something hinky, no one on WA should be concerned.
I completely agree with all of their policies and understand why they don't approve porn sites or limit ads on alcohol sites, ban malicious or deceptive content. All of it makes sense.
Thanks for that!...
I am alright...
Google won't even allow me to use adsense... for unknown reasons of their own!...
Have a great day...
