August Progress Report + New Training Added
Hello, fellow WA members!
It's that time again! As August is now officially over, I wanted to update you on my progress. To be honest, there isn't much, yet, It's been a crazy month!
Successes!
- Social media accounts for my website are growing still. Not viral or anything, but they get some engagement.
- I started an ad campaign yesterday on Facebook for page likes with almost NO budget. I'm running an ad promoting my FB page for $1 a day for 5 days. Mostly, I was exploring audience targeting and such.
- First Day: 82 impressions, 4 page likes and 2 post engagements.
- I keep posting religiously every Friday. I upload an occasional cat video too.
- Paid by Amazon Associates, around $22.
- My site is now 2 months old.
- I created a new training on Site Feedback as the level of feedback I've gotten during the free feedback promotion is kind of dismal. You can find it here:
- I got accepted by Adsense for my new site. Woot! (It's only 2 months old too!)
- Made a couple of cat fact graphics for my social media channels
Setbacks
I actually don't have many of these this month. Just mysterious health issues, but I'm not letting it affect my posting schedule. It IS affecting my dishes and laundry schedule, but NOT my website!
Priorities, you know.
How did August treat you all? Good, bad? What was your major achievement last month?

What great advancements you are making. Summer has been very slow going for me, but I am looking forward to hunkering down again once school is back in session.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing your progress. I like that you post every single Friday - such a smart thing to do - I think I will need to establish a habit like this too!
Keep up the great work!
Kate
Keeping a posting schedule is supposed to be important according to some experts. I started at once per week because work sometimes gets crazy. But posting more often is cool too if you did Tuesday and Fridays, or whatever. ^_^
Congratulations on your progress. My major achievement for the month was to actually start making an income. Jim
Sounds like you are making steady progress. I did 16 posts for August. I've been slacking on reviews (because I dislike doing them), so I'm making a effort to start doing at least 1 review a week. I've started putting more focus on social media, trying to be consistent there, and implemented some automatic posting tools so my website posts get pushed out to social media automatically.
That's about it. Taking a break for a day and going to plan my September tomorrow.
Best Wishes,
Michael

That's a good amount of work for a 2-month old site. The site is also earning so you are obviously doing things right. Most people see any revenue at all only after a few months, but definitely more than 2 or 3 months.
I checked out the Site Feedback training - and it is highly recommended!
I left a short comment which doesn't give justice to such a high quality of content and attention to detail in the training. One needs to go through it to know how good it is.
Congratulations on your Adsense acceptance! Not everyone gets accepted.
Wish you all the best!
Thanks so much for your super kind words! You made my day!
