First thoughts on WA community - a passionate group

It might seem like it's a little late for first thoughts - I have been a member for several months here at WA. BUT, life has been crazy and I haven't been able to really sink my teeth into the amazing opportunity that WA seems to be until recently.

Now that I am diligently going through the lessons, working on my website, and perusing the vast depths of information that WA offers, I find myself impressed again and again by the individual members here.

The thing that strikes me so quickly and so refreshingly is the passion that everyone here has for what it is they are doing. In my day-to-day life and office clone job, I find myself looking around daily and wondering, "What are these people passionate about in their lives?" Truly, I have no idea!

Here at WA it's different, and that I think is what makes the community so unique and wonderful. Members are expressly directed to follow what interests them, what motivates them, what they are passionate about, and I think that makes all the difference.

Biz Stone said in a recent interview with Entrepreneur magazine, "Success isn't guaranteed with emotional investment, but failure pretty much is if you don't."

To be honest, first reading that quote was...relieving. I used to think only suckers who cared put passion and emotion into their business ventures. Seems kind of silly now, but I definitely had my vision of success as a cold, hard, businesswoman who was in it to win it and nothing else.

Now, through my experience here at WA and beyond, I have seen that working towards what you are passionate about is more than ok, it is essential! It might make you more vulnerable and have more to lose if you fail, but it will definitely add richness and depth to what you are trying to accomplish, and it will provide some of the motivation and drive that is necessary for your success.

So, thank you WA community for being so passionate and following what is important to you. Never lose sight of it - your success could depend on it!
