Bring the Love

Hello All, today I want to share a very simple yet profound practice.

Bring the Love. Bring the love to whatever situation you are in. When I say bring the love, it is feeling or allowing the love that’s in your heart to be there with that person, with that situation and/or with yourself.

You may not be able to do this perfectly, I know I can’t. But do this as best you can.

Now, when I suggest you bring love to a situation, I am not asking you to be a doormat. I used to do that a lot! I thought if I was loving, I would not say no, I would not say stop doing that or break off a toxic relationship. Instead I would stay with it, feeling uncomfortable, not liking myself and making myself suffer.

It also does not mean that you won’t get angry. To be human is to feel all of the emotions; love, hate, anger, fear, sadness, etc. We will have these emotions whether we want to or not, and whether we can feel them or not.

The key is to also bring the love. Feel the love in your heart as best you can in the ever present now, as you deal with what’s here now. This simple practice with help you heal the damage that’s been done throughout life, whether perpetuated by others or perpetuated by ourselves. Most of us have a fair amount of both.

Love is the universal solvent that will help you heal. This can bring a wealth of healing to all of your relationships. It shifts the paradigm because instead of looking for love from the other, you can feel it inside yourself as you interact. This shifts how we communicate with others, because we are not needing for them to bring the love to us. This allows us to feel more in balance, and therefore see what’s going on more clearly and to make better decisions.

I invite you to bring the love that lives in your heart today, to whatever is going on. As you do this you will begin to feel a softening. This is Love. This is you allowing the Love that you are to bring healing and relief to the here and now, like a cool rain on a hot summer day.
