My son suggested I watch or in my case re-watch Cameron Crowe's movie "Almost Famous".
Set in 1973, Almost Famous is about a 15-year-old music fan who is inspired by the bands of the time. His writing ultimately lands him an assignment from Rolling Stone magazine to interview the up-and-coming fictitious band Stillwater (inspired by the Allman Brothers Band).
The interaction between the lead character, William (Patrick Fugit) and his mentor Lester Bangs (Phillip Seymore Hopkins) was my son's intent for me to watch it again. It is an entertaining way to pick up some points on writing captivating content.
