Using a blog spreadsheet

Somewhere, mabye here within WA I read that keeping a spreadsheet of your created blog content can be helpful. So I've created an Excel template to share that I use to keep up with my various posted blogs.

The spreadsheet includes these column headings:

Date Published
Website Name
Blog Post Title
Word Count

Checklists for me to check off:
Images Optimized
Good keywords
Internal Links
External Links
CTA above fold
Image Alt descriptions
Meta title
Meta Description
Comments Requested
Submitted to Google
Posted on Facebook
Posted to Twitter
Posted to Linkedin
Posted to Pinterest

I would attach a template but can't right here. so here is a sceenshot.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi Shirley,

As I need help with always trying to get more organized, I really appreciate you sharing this. Thanks!
How do you share with Google, would be my question at this post.
Please let me know.

Cheers,

Vincent

Google docs can be shared.

I actually meant to ask - how to you submit a post to Google?
Thanks

Hi Shirley

This is very helpful - thank you :-)

I also have a spreadsheet for my blogs, but have not included a checklist - I shall going forward, these are great reminders.

Within the same Excel file I have different tabs as follows:

1. Pages and Posts (on my site) - similar to yours
2. Banners (links to banners, these are WA banners and other affiliate programs - I just find it easier to keep them here)
3. Passwords for everything I use online
4. Affiliate Programs (name, log in details, tracking links)
5. WA blogs (that is blogs I have written within WA)
6. Hashtags I use on social media (I kept forgetting the ones I was using so it's easy for me now that they're all in one place)
7. My Site Menu: Categories & Tags
8. WA blogs written by other WA members which I pretty link and share to my social media

Blessings to you

Thanks, Shirley, for sharing this tip.
This is definitely helpful ... not doing it yet.
Just planning to.for my future website.
All the best and cheers.

That's a great idea. Thanks!
Have a happy Sunday,
Mickey

You inspire me but my natural laziness will cut down on the number of things I actually track. I DO have a spreadsheet called MASTERLIST - OUR SITES. One tab has when they will need renewing, one tab logs what gg analytics shows.

Think I will give each of the sites I'm currently working on its own tab, similar to yours.

I just started to do this but on paper, your looks amazing!
