Google has now added a "Mobile friendly" listing to their Search Results
Google made an announcement that will change how Search Engine Optimization is done.
The largest search engine in the world said...
Now searches, that are made from Mobile Devices, will see a “Mobile Friendly” listing next to the websites that meet the requirements that they have for being a mobile site.
Leaving some people asking is that fair?
This means that websites, that meet these standards, are more likely to turn up in the mobile searches.
What are the requirements?
How is Google going to decide which websites will get mobile-friendly listing?

The importance of a mobile optimized website is only continuing to grow.
These websites have been shown to keep visitors on your page longer…future customers expect a better mobile experience.
“Surfing the web on your mobile phone should be enjoyable and effortless…says Google’s- Javier Perez
which is why we’re now helping you find out in advance which websites offer a good experience on mobile devices,"
“Let’s ditch the pinching, scrolling and aimless tapping… and welcome the new wave of mobile-friendly sites.”
Mobile Searches VS Desktop Searches
Website Owners now have an added incentive to optimize their website for mobile…
Google’s own Matt Cutts said back in March that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if mobile search topped desktop queries this year.
The official numbers are not in yet but…
multiple reports and analysts agree that mobile devices will be the number one platform for searching the web—if not already.
While responsive designs are not a new trend…
In 2015, we are about to see a lot more small businesses move to responsive websites.
There are two reasons for this:
First in the next year, a large number of Small Business will finally realize they can no longer survive without a website.
When they do most will choose a responsive web design since it makes sense to have a single site that works across desktop computer and mobile devices.
Second, there are a lot of businesses who have sites that are simply put… the old and outdated.
While they knew the importance of having a mobile-friendly site years ago, and did this using a subdomain for their mobile site (m.domain.com)
Many of them will choose to build a brand new site in 2015…and will build a single responsive site that works across all devices.
Make your website mobile friendly on a budget
If you are using WordPress…
This can be simple and affordable…
You need to check and see if your theme has a responsive design option.
Some themes have an option to turn it on or off.
If you don’t have this option you will need to change your theme to a new responsive design that will work on all devices.
I know that changing themes can be scary…but there are some great new themes being made and there are people that will do it for you at a very affordable price.
Thanks
