Time to monetize?
Hi fellow WAers
I am not seen here blogging much because I'm focussing on building content for my website. I figured the people who run the affiliate programs would want to see a website full of content before approving my affiliate applications.
I'm still working on content, but so far I have 10 pages and 10 posts (8 of the posts are published and I will publish the other two over the next 2 days so they don't look like they were all published on the same day).
So far I don't have any live links on my website because I don't yet have any affiliate deals.
But I am wondering whether I should start monetizing my website with affiliate deals, or whether I should wait a while until I have more content.
What do you think?
Kind regards, Wazza

Some affiliate programs will take you, even new. Most want more content, but if there is a particular one you are considering, you might check with their requirements.
The reason for creating content first is of course to get traffic. Without readers, the affiliate link just sits there.
But that should not stop you from looking at the programs--one might be a good fit!
Hi Diane
Yes I've identified some affiliate programs. In fact, I'm building my website with specific affiliate programs in mind.
I just haven't applied for any yet.
Kind regards

Hello Warren, I believe that affiliate programs will look at your site for at least 15 articles before considering you
Hi Simone
Thanks for your advice.
Does "Articles" include bot webpages and posts, or just webpages?

As a guide have 10/15 posts on your site then apply. Some will accept and some won’t. Those that don’t, reapply when you have more content.
Thanks Lisa
