spamming?

I placed url links in my blog. not affiliate links. it was to WA member websites that i wrote a post for.

Is this against the rules. Is this against the rules if I am asking for comments and opinions? I want to understand how to do this right. I had alot of people calling me out, but none with helpful comments.

I believe this should be a helpful exchange. So can someone help me understand why i see links all over WA. What am I missing?

I think the inconsistency comes mostly from members who are reluctant to speak up when they observe a violation of Kyle's document "Spam is a No No". This, even though they may understand and agree with Kyle's document.

Variable enforcement occurs and this can cause the inconsistency you have observed.

Many initial violations occur because members have not seen (or read completely) Kyle's document. I've recommended for some time that the document be referenced in the OEC Training. This would improve the exposure to the document's intent.

Just saying.

Police have to be thoughour in their approach to crime, they have to be certain that a crime has been committed, gather evidence, check motive, be sure of their facts, before they arrest anyone, it sounds like these Police are not understanding the criteria thats required before they speak out.

Hello Martin.

I weep for you, I deeply sympathise . Wholeheartedly, I agree with you.

I even suggested to Kyle that he create a bulletin board, if he didn't want "spam"

*** If you want to learn more, click here: blah blah blah ... ***

... is not spam, spam is unwanted. Anyway, he shot down my suggestion.

Some people resort to sending links in private messages, but it does seem to be a horribly tedious way to go about it.

Regards,

The rule about affiliate links is clear. Here is rule 7.

7. No adding affiliate links to any blog, training, discussion or private message.

The rule regarding other links is not as clear. I as well as others include links in blog posts, but there is no requirement to follow the link to read the rest of the story. I often include links to reference or source material should the reader want to see the source or know more about the blog post subject. These kind of links are not spam.

9. Do not post content where your readers are required to go to an external website to "read more". All of the content must be self contained within the post itself.

brain dead. it hurts to read how simple you are. sheep.dumbbbbbbbbbbbb!

Smartskeeter posted this “Do not post content where your readers are required to go to an external website to "read more". All of the content must be self contained within the post itself” same thing I infomed Schwifty. Hope others can answer the questions since the founders set this up.

soooooooooooooooooooooo dumb!

Always good to know the rules.

Read the link Laurie gave you below so you know what you can and can't do here within the community.

As for your URL link for your website, there is a place on the bottom right-hand side under your profile image where you can place any URL or your social media sites.

That is the only place where you can note your links all else is considered spam

is ambassador like a site moderator? where does it say that i can not post my site in my profile? im not good with opinions. I need hard rules to follow. I've recieved a lot of opinions. im about done with WA

Hi Martin firstly Ambassadors are not site moderators we are just members like anyone else apart from Kyle, Carson, and Jay.

Secondly, check out the WA rules below which Laurie also showed in a comment here As for asking for comments for your website you have site comments that can be used.

Yes I saw the link in that post which is still there and although it is not theirs it is a friend which is still promoting on their behalf.

It may be a fine line with that. As you also don't know what association they have with that person.

That is why is it best not to promote such links

Linking to another members post here is fine and yes there are many who may not know the rules that is why the link is there to help them become aware of it.

However, there are those who have no intention about the rules and spam anyway they don't last here long.

how you like apache1 https://www.holsterhq.com/

This blog post breaks #9 of Kyle's rules.

Linking to a guest post you wrote on a website is also considered self promotion.

These rules apply to all of us:
